Does anyone know where I can find info or contact Bouche about his SMA4 hacking? I am very much interested in this and would like to know what objects he has found lying in the depths of that ROM.

I heard from someone that there was a list of codes for Super Mario advance 4 that could be used to edit the first enemy in the game. Does anyone know where I could find this, or any information about it? Does anyone even have any idea what I'm talking about

Alright, I want to delve deep into the inner workings of a GBA game, so my question is, how do I start? To a need to corrupt the rom like NES files, or what? I don't really know much of what I need to do, but I'm determined, so any help is appreciated.

Parasyte, I (for one), would be very interested to see that. I've been wanted to hack SMA4 for a while now, but since I've no experience, I didn't know where to tstart. When I found the address topic here yesterday, I spent the rest of the day just fooling around in a hex editor. and purplebridge, for the background color in the level header, you say it only has one didgit allocated, but your table lists values all teh way up to 1F, how do you enter in those above 0F? edit, nevermind, I got it now. Is there anywhere that has anything about Bouche's work? Several months ago someone emailed me saying that If I was interested in Hacking into SMA4 I should look for him. So I searched the net and all I found were a couple messageboards (this being one of them) and that he apparently has given up and/or disappeared.

Looks very nice. I'd love to help, but my plate is too full as it is. Good luck to those of you who are helping though, I look forward to playing it when it's done.

For SMA4 sprites: http://www.mfgg.net/resourcedb.php?act=view&cat=sprites&id=564 http://www.mfgg.net/resourcedb.php?act=view&cat=sprites&id=234 http://www.mfgg.net/resourcedb.php?act=view&cat=sprites&id=385 http://www.mfgg.net/resourcedb.php?cat=sprites&subcat=sheets&type=backgrounds_ripped about halfway down that last one has everything else you could be looking for. I think I missed a file or two, but just look around on the sitee and I'm sure you can find them. |

trashykins, I wouldn't mind a copy of the .SAV file if you wouldn't mind. Send it to uselessbuffer@gmail.com |

The e-switches could be activated using a Gameshark code, it's just that no one knows what the code is, and no one has bothered to figure it out.

Try to cast shell on your team or lower their faith. Or both, in that order though. Hopefully you can catch him mid-charge to do more damage.

But does it really matter if killing him only took 2 seconds? Once you account for the 45 minutes of yelling and accumulating, it still turns out to be a long fight.

Peardian's maps are now up on the site, in some crude form or another. As for getting the printed off cards to scan in, some people have. I myself have gotten about 12 of them to work. This summer I intend to borrow a GBA and get some more. |

Well it certainly can't hurt, can it? I've got some ideas running around my head that I can hopefully make work out. |

My best guess would be that you somehow corrupted the save data. Seriously though, you get that message most of the time when you change the ROM values and the game screws up. Any idea which values you changed? if you knew that, if would be easy to give you the values that are supposed to be there. |

But by the time Velius is there, you'll have the rest of your team to help out. If Ramza is near death, just have him hide out in the corner sniping. And by sniping I mean just regular shooting, not Mustadio's command 'Snipe', it just sounded cooler to say snipe than shoot.

The world map themes from FFIV, FFV and FFVI were all wonderful in my opinion. Other great hits that come to my mind are Cosmo Canyon (FFVII), any incarnation of the Victory Fanfare, FFIV battle themes and Gilgamesh's Theme (FFV). And of course anything from Final Fantasy Tactics, despite not being Uematsu's work. I'm sure I could think of alot more too..... |
