(Title of thread to be spoken as "Napster... BAD!" from Futurama) Ok, II'm going to attempt to keep this as a serious thread... I've had four tonight... one bottle and thrree snake bites and I seriously cannot hold my drink anymore...

Anyways, how much does it take you to get tipsy, drunk and then throw up? Does it make a difference if you drink different drinks?

Not bad typing for someone who seems to have reached her limit for the night.

I wouldn't know seeing as how I've never managed to cross that sober/drunk line. Maybe that bodes well for the future, I dunno.

(Then again, you shouldn't mix...)

About 4-5 cups of wine and I'm tipsy enough to start acting weirder (but still type fine), or half a big bottle of mint cream and I'm totally drunk and sick the next day, that's all I know from what I've experienced and I'm sure everyone remembers that one time I was drunk

Yes, we all remember, and anyone who doesn't remember or wasn't there will probably be told some time in the future.

Anyway, the last time I drank any type of alcoholic beverage was in 6th grade when I drank once or twice out of a glass of wine. Therefore, I have no idea how much it would take for me to receive any type of effect.

Beer is the best thing to get drunk on. I'm always happy, generous and jolly.

Rum I get a little too zany and out of control.

Whiskey I can get moody and can become dangerous. I enjoy the taste, I'd just hate to get smashed.

Vodka I can have mood swings which can range from me trying to hug everyone to me trying to fight everyone. Not fun.

Lenophis, cut it out with the snarky replies. It's a valid topic to talk about, therefore it's not stupid, therefore if you think it is then you should keep those comments to yourself.

I used to have a very high tolerance, but then I used to be one of those girls that was "one of the boys"....

My tolerance now is good, but not what it used to be. It also depends on what I'm drinking.

This thread reminds me, I need more grog at home.

Really? So if I made a "I'm drunk" thread right now, it wouldn't be closed? I've read this four times and that's what it looks like to me. Then again, I see a lot of these just about everywhere, so why am I surprised?

As for the attitude, it hasn't exactly been a friendly couple of weeks for me. Seeing stupidity at its finest only accelerates it... Given what you and the rest of the staff see on a weekly basis, I would hope you agree with that.

Wait, I think I know why this isn't considered spam. It's because everyone here can't wait to get their hands on the liquor... Must be it.

I think I have the highest drink per pound tolerance of anyone I know. As for how many drinks it takes me, it's usually in the double digits at least, unless taken in very rapid succession, which I usually can't do too well. As for how I prefer to get drunk, I'd have to say rum, as beer isn't strong enough. Though Harry Buffalo works quite well, as I learned the past two weekends.

I don't freaking get it. Why the hell do kids wanna start drinking so badly? What the hell is the point of doing something like it? It may become a bad habit, can destroy your liver, makes your breath stink, does not taste well (*this* is a value judgement), is expensive, and WILL NOT MAKE YOU LOOK ANY COOLER. I am sick of seeing people trying to make themselves look "cooler" by doing the stupidest things, not even having a clue of what they are doing. Why the hell do you do this? Everyone should have something called a personality. Just because you see some stupid actor drink and make it look "cool" or because you heard some lameass story from your friend about how he got drunk and everyone thought it was OK and how he became l33tx0r and stuff, it does not mean you have to start drinking. And no, I don't find threads like these funny simply because they lack 1) personality and 2) the author is not probably not old enough to realize how stupid he/she is being.

And no, I am currently NOT pissed off at anything. This is genuine Hyde content

actually, I like the taste of beer, and alcohol, then again, so does everyone else in my family. I can't think of a person over 16 related to me that doesn't like beer.

But in all actuallity, if you get drunk to come post on a message board, you're a loser =\

I like drinking because I like being buzzed/drunk. I enjoy beer. I enjoy rum. Also, I believe Kas is 20, which is plenty old enough to make decisions for herself. Just because someone drinks and enjoys talking about it from time to time doesn't mean they do it to be cool. Chill.

Well, I'm hardly a "kid" either, at 24 years of age. And I enjoy drink too.

I don't enjoy getting too drunk anymore, I used to binge drink a lot, but I still enjoy drinking.

Now I generally just drink enough to feel happy and/or relaxed. Drinking is an enjoyable experience for me. It also alleviates a lot of the general anxiety that I feel on a frequent basis.

I mostly like to drink red wine though nowadays. I used to drink more beer, but now I don't. Part of that is the fact that it's hard for me to carry a carton of beer home on the bus (and I don't think the bus driver would let me anyways).

Lenophis -- As for this not being considered spam, I took this thread as a question of people's tolerance. After all, Kasumi is asking specific questions at the end of her post about how much we drink, etc. Yes, she's mentioned that she's drinking, but she's also asked us questions about our drinking.

I've answered by saying that I have higher tolerance than most, but nothing special. Once upon a time, I'd have given NSNick a run for his money though I'm not so sure now.

And I wouldn't mind a drink myself right now. My housemate has given me a bottle of Canadian Club, maybe I can have some of that.

I can get tipsy at most, I drank two bottles of cider and I still had common sense. But well... I kinda acted drunk at free will against my classmates. That was actually fun but having common sense left at least kept me from doing bad things.

...and if you get really drunk, well that's not good considering that you don't remember anything. So what would be the point?

We went to Chili's on Tuesday, and it was in the afternoon, not many people there, and they made too much of the drink that I ordered, so she gave me too tall glasses, instead of one.

Not enough to get me tipsy or anything, I'll save that for my friend's party at the end of the mouth. He has these things every year for his birthday and its the only time when I'l drink a lot with no worries. Also, I got the next day off from work off, so double no worries.

Wonder if someone is gonna make the jello shots, or do I have to make 'em.

I've had a hangover only about four times. If I know I'm going to be drinking a lot, I'll take a dramaene before hand, so I won't feel sick that night or the next day.
