1) Okay, too easy. Point for you.  2) THAT was with Knuckles. With Sonic, once you reach Sky Sanctuary, you play through a third of the level and fight Metal Sonic in an Egg-O-Matic with a swinging Wrecking Ball, exactly like in Green Hill on Sonic 1. You then fight him later on, as he attacks you with the Capsule Formation Crusher (that's what I call it, anywho) from Metropolis Zone in Sonic 2. At the very end of the level you fight him man to man, and when he falls you get your Time and Ring bonus, then Sonic races up the crumbling tower and leaps epically into the Death Egg, beginning Death Egg Zone. 3) In Quartz Quadrant Act 1 you'll find the Enemy Transporter floating in the middle of a massive room that seperates the mines from the courtyard. You need to hit the red diagonal spring on the left, then another one on the right, and time your jump to land on the moving platform in the center, from which you can then jump on the transporter and destroy every badnik in the Past, creating a Good Future in Act 1. Yay. Ah well... I still believe you if you say you're a Sonic fanatic. I just like testing people and acting all snobby.  |

| There are loads of tools for Sonic editing. As Schwa said, http://www.shadowsoft-games.com/ssrg/utilities/ has a lot of them. There are also a hack that are made STRICTLY in hex with custom graphics included. I linked it in another thread, it's that Sonic 2 Long Version. It's made on a Macintosh where there are no tools. These things are certainly possible; even the music format of Sonic 2 is being hacked now at the online Sonic hacking community. You just have to do a bit of research to find out how to do these things. | |||

| Damn once you mentioned the impersonations I remembered, and the Quartz Quadrant, I dont get to play Sonic CD andymore due to getting Windows XP. I know theres a patch on sonic cult, but they say its really glitchy, so I dident try it. Anyway, the hacks going good, unfortunatly the past days, since sunday, I have been at my moms and my hack is at my dads. I could of brought it over but im constantly at my friends house when im here i dident bother bringing it. So expect updates on the hack tommorow night, to saturday. Seeya later and thanks for the feedback! Anyways time for some kinda off topicness. Heres a funny story. I was trying to play Sonic CD way back when on my new XP and it said there was a problem with kernal.dll. Well me being my unexperiance, un-A+ Cert, little boy i was, I went ahead and moved Kernal.dll to the Desktop.  Weeellll....Next boot came around and the pc would not start. Heh. My mom was piiiiiised. So yay for Sonic CD and making me kill my computer. |

| Hmm... I wonder why moving it killed the PC. Ah well, that happens I say. Sorry, for what it's worth... I got the Sonic CD ISO file that runs in a Gens emulator, but it's 24 Megabytes and none of the music works except the Past stages, plus after 7 or so minutes of play time, the sound stops working for about 10 minutes then starts up again. Talk about odd! But yeah, that's the only way I could recall such info about the game, since the only time I played the game before that was when I was like 8 years old... (I had it for the actual Sega CD then, but it stopped working when my friend's friend dumped dirt in the machine. That fiend broke everything I lent him.) |

| Oh geez... The autumn style was way better than this. Sorry. The tricky part is to get the bg colors to go well with each-other. Green and orange was the origional, and it gave it a summer look... Red and brown went well with each-other because it gave an autumn look, but red and grey... Meh. Well, it's your hack, I'm just stating what I think. The autumn look was better, I say. |

| To Xenon Oddysee: Listen, if you want to start a brand new Sonic 2 hack, PLEASE use SonEd and NOT ESEII. Once you use one editor on the Rom, using the other bugs it out. SonEd is the only one of the two with gfx editing capability that's actually sufficient. S&T, I've already PM'd you the bad news. Sorry, man. SonEd is found at Organized Chaos's homepage. I don't know the site name right off the bat, though. |

| Ok good. That's the one I downloaded, as well as one named "Chaos". And I gotta agree with Schwa on this, Sonicandtails. I prefered the autumn style too. Made it look like there are actually seasons in a Sonic game, not just different areas with different climates. Hey, that could be an idea... |

| Hi, Im a newb I just downloaded sonED and have been hacking away at sonic,its so cool Though im having trouble with rest of the series. I tried using GENECYST to make save states but as sson as I load it-the screen goes black and locks up. I tried KGEN98 but when I load the save on any sonic game the levels are messed up the regardless whether I use BIN or SMD. Sorry if this is the wrong section but im just so excited |
