Maybe I've done the same thing but I usually keep an eye out for anything shiny...

Well I don't walk around with my head down looking for money. Especially shiny dollars.

Well, neither do I. But if I see something shiny out of the corner of my eye I'll take a closer look.

My parents found a coin in the summer, but it was from MOROCCO. And it wasn't even a rarish coin. No luck.

Ever seen those shows where people glue quarters to the ground and watch the losers walking by try to pick them up? =)

Nowadays I'm happy if I rediscover some money I had cached somewhere, like an old savings account, or money in a winter coat pocket I had forgotten about.

No, but there's a 50c piece stuck to the ground at the Train Station near my mum's house.

I didn't try to pick it up, but I did try to kick it. It seems to be stuck down with what resembles epoxy resin.

That's what I was thinking about a first....that someone was watching me...waiting for me to pick it up.

Coins I can find everyday, especially at the store. I swear, I think I can find about $2 a day in coins there.

You know, I don't buy liter of sodas anymore. Its either canned soda, or juice.

But finding them at the store helps when I'm thirsty and out of money/change. They have dollar sodas there for people who work in the mall....I tend to get that if I'm low on cash, if not, then its lemonaide for me or Power Aide for me.

Well, I have found a wallet once, which someone left in a bathroom. (It was at the russ gathering.) I returned the wallet to the ones arranging it all. I'm such an angel. I was drunk at the time, but I STILL didn't take what was inside.

What the. There's two possibilities here: a) You DID try to pick it up. b) You kick way too many glued coins.

A 50 SEK bill flew past me one day a few years ago. I picked it up and kept it. (50 SEK is around $6.25)

how about finding a bill like this...you are driving a bus and as you turn you stop, and pick up the bill in the middle of the street... I was on a bus when that happened. the driver was going fairly fast when she all of a sudden stopped at a turn...

Well, there was a lot of epoxy or glue or whatever it is... if the person was trying to be discreet about it, they failed miserably. (read: good half-inch of epoxy/glue around outside edge of coin)

I didn't need to try to pick it up to see that it was stuck. I kicked it to try to find out HOW stuck.... (answer: STUCK)

I dont remember what show it was, maybe Jamie Kennedy Experiment? I was flipping channels a while ago and saw it. It was in a mall, and some people got so mad that they couldnt pick up the quarters that they pulled out credit cards to try and lift it. But it wouldnt come up. Some of them got pretty mad.

Its also hilarious when two people spot the quarter on the ground and fight about who gets it. Also on this show I was watching. Hehehe.

I usually dont stop to pick up coins. I have a big thing full of spare change sitting in my room already, so Im in no hurry to get a new jar.

Yesterday I would've loved to find a 5c coin on the ground.

I was 5c short of being able to buy an Iced Coffee.

Today was pay day, I'm no longer concerned about wanting to find small sums of money
