I've never liked Internet Explorer, mostly due to an early ISP I had by the name of USWest (bought out by Qwest bastards). They used to block Internet Explorer use for a while, and installed Netscape on their customers' computers. I still have that Netscape Communicator Professional 4.08 CD-ROM (which you can downloaded from the N.B.A.). So I've liked the Netscape world a bit more, then discovered that its greatness was continued in the Mozilla foundation, and so I used Mozilla Suite a bit. Then I tried out Firebird 0.6 and I liked it. Much cleaner, same quality renderer. From then, I used Firebird/Firefox and still today.

The things I complain about is the sloppiness of the source and the slowness of the browser that could be repaired by the Mozilla foundation, and should have been a while ago. I'd do it, but hacking Firefox almost requires to be an employee of Mozilla and developed it for the whole time to understand it.

...Wow. I honestly did not expect the Firefox ratio to be so high. *inflates vote count*

I'd assume that the latest Netscape browser is OK... isn't it still technically Mozilla-based?

I haven't touched Netscape in years. Man, did I hate it too. I would get so much spam and junk in my mail folder, and the pop-ups were out of control. I don't care if anything did change with Netscape, I won't touch it again.

Mozilla with AOL stickers and a broken pop-up blocker - they let through popups from AOL on purpose.

My parents use Netscape...they used to use IE, until I told them that it was evil (which was fairly recently). Now, IE on their machine is all messed up, and the computer is infested with viruses...

IE IS broken, but people only care when those bugs personally affect them.

It may not steal their ID, but there are many blatent bugs in it. For example, I've seen a line copied before, but only half of it was copied. I've also seen a weird one that doesn't let you scroll down due to its poor support of CSS.

See, but until it does something like -- not let a user into their Bank website, or steal their details or download Bonzi Buddy for them without them asking, the vast majority will not care.

I know.
