I'm sorry if I made any of you feel insulted. I lose my cool easily when something like this happens - Something I care about is something I can no longer protect.

I suppose it's just best if I pick up my bags and go. I don't need to be more of a burden on anyone than need be.

Jizzy - Very well said.

Yiffy Kitten - I don't see you as a burden. For your sake, it might be best for you to take a break from the board until the dust settles and you get a chance to calm down, but I like having you around, and I would be disappointed to see you leave entirely.

I agree. And I'm glad things has already started to calm down. Maybe we can all get a nice rest today.

NARF... Maybe you don't but the rest of the board doesn't have such a positive impression of me. Honestly, I don't care what people like Neko think, but when users I once thought intelligent show hostility towards me, then I think it's time to pack it in.

I don't think they show hostility because they want to. It's pretty much in human's nature to feel attacked for next to no reason. I just think that some people 'defended' themselves because they felt attacked.

Then again, my opinion doesn't matter much and the above probably didn't make much sense.

I can't see I enjoy any longtime member leave, regardless of if I like them or not. Reconsider.

Yiffy Kitten: Sure, I'm not that original to this place, only have been active this past year, but I know you've had history with this place, it would be a little tame to see you go. I'd also say reconsider, in the end, nobody ever said you "Had" to leave.

Edit: Not sure if "Tame" was right for that sentence. Meh, my grammer's hell.

Yeah Tom really. We all can see why you were upset, and if somebody can't, then they don't deserve any respect anyways.

This is getting rather ridiculous. If you change the staff, people complain. If you keep them the same, people complain. There's no pleasing everybody.

Personally, I think we should have reconstructed the staff in mid-to-late 2003. As I recall, a lot of members were for a reconstruction, but it didn't happen. The current reconstruction, IMO, is definitely an improvement, because inactive members were given demotions, and the total number of admins was reduced. Staff members should be reasonably active on a message board. Activity in 2001 should not count for staff positioning in 2005. It isn't 2001 anymore.

2004 seemed to be a rough year for the romhacking community, both here and at TEK. It was a rough year in my life as well. Hopefully 2005 will be better, but who knows...

Then again, this thread gave me a great deal of entertainment today.

Inactive but lurking in the shadows,
Banedon.

Late for what? I didn't ask to be staff. I know that if I ever had a chance to be staff, I blew it long ago.

I just want to have fun posting at Acmlm's again, like I did in 2002 and 2003, but I blew it. The only way I can ever get respect at Acmlm's again is if I register a new account and take on a new identity, and all that respect would go out the window in an instant if anyone found out who I was.

Soo.... does this mean we can go back to drinking for recreation, as opposed to drinking to escape...?

Yay!

Well, glad to see things have settled down a bit.

Yiffy Kitten -- please don't leave. If you need to have a break, that's cool; but don't out-and-out leave.

You say that like there's a reason to NOT drink for recreation. (swigs)

Then how about we put that to the test... You think it will, post the log, state what happened, and the poll question. "If it had been labeled a staff 'spring cleaning' and not a reconstruction like it was originally, would you still have voted the same way?"

Well? How about it, make the new poll or no?

Problem wit hthat is that now that the thing's happened, people will be biased against/for that decision now.

No matter what, even if you asked "If it was originally supposed to be this and nothing had happened yet" it would still rturn biased results.

And Leno, people have other things to do than reply to you at 1 AM in the morning
