I think The Streets have shown up in past Hottest 100's as well -- from their earlier album. They have a bit of a following here

Trapster -- William Shatner is an actor. He's most famous for playing Captain Kirk on Star Trek. That song is a collaboration with Ben Folds.

I think I recognized him because I saw a parody of him in a movie or something like that.

I caught a bit of the broadcast at Sydney Big Day Out. Just before they had someone bluff their way on stage dressed as a member of Polyphonic Spree.

Glad to see Billy Shatner so high on the list. Single most original release of the year, was Shatner's album 'Has Been'.

All I know about Australia and music is that AC-DC rocks. I don't see AC-DC on that list. In fact I don't see anything I recognize as rock. ....Maybe Jet.

FAIL.

I demand more rock from modern times. If modern times fail to deliver, they will have to be phased out in favor of past times.

They have some great bands down there. Mostly black metal, like Destroyer666, Infernal Method and Abyssic Hate. Spear of Longinus is just stupid.

I didn't know there was a huge white power movement in Australia, but it overshadows Canada's white power movement.

Sorry Ziff but the best band in Australia right now are Augie March.

I agree though, we're utterly infested with metal.

Guy's we're getting off topic.

Here I'll reset the course: Mike "The Streets" Skinner should have more songs representing his greatness.

We should make one of those online petitions.

Pft, the Aussies just can't comprehend the POWER OF METAL!

It is all about being a warrior and spilling the blood of the posers and wimps!

I could make various jokes about Aussies all being criminals due to your roots as the world's biggest prison (I suppose you guys still are, what with Howard in office) but I'll hold my tongue...Canada will always be Mother Britain's favourite colony (after India)
