hmm...if these findings are true, think America will give up the Columbus theory? I think not easily. Anyways, I find this stuff very interesting. I wonder what other things will be disproven.

It could very easily be Antartica. Think about it, it's underneath what is to be presumed Africa, and Antartica is not as far as South America away from Africa.

Also, the the positioning of the continent is where he could've sailed from - from the southern cape of Africa.

Also, he's marked great mountain ranges in other continents, the Himalya particularly, but the Andes do not appear anywhere on this continent.

Besides, I don't think anybody will ever celebrate anyone else finding America any earlier than Columbus. He wasn't the first person on the continent, as he found out when he got there. There were civilisations there long before Columbus.

I don't think its a separate continent at all. If you were to fill in the gap between "Africa" and it, you'd get something that looks a bit more like the true shape of Africa.

"Interesting... We finished the "Islam" chapter... I'm guessing your a sophmore (SP? )? I wish I lived back then... Nothing but Peace and Nature. : drifts off in a dream :"

Too bad odds are you'd be a peasant living in oppression in a feudal system that basically screws you over, and requires military service. Oh, and by the way, the Islamic were taking over nations, the Christians were fighting the Islamic, and there were civil wars.

War is not a new thing. And people still disrespected nature. Except for the pagans, of course.

Okay, will back on topic...you can say that Columbus populized the discovery of the New World - while he may not be the first to discover it, he was the first to do something about it.

Also, I'm thinking on the map it's Australia or Madagascar. You're forgetting that in early maps, distances are often skewed - ie, this map's Africa is more of scythe shape, and some early maps of America had an odd looking South America, and no Baja California.

Well, the majority of Islam was not vastly affected by the Crusades. In fact, most of the Islamic kingdoms were quite prosperous during the time of the Crusades.

RoboticParanoia, you ever heard of a pagan that didn't disrespect nature? I haven't. It doesn't matter how many humans you sacrifice and how much praisin' you give, human existence hinges on the alteration and damage of nature.
