Perhaps if the concept (As it seems to exist in at least that form) was actually applied at some point, I'd be a little warmer to it. As it is, though, like I said, to me, the Admins are Admins, and that's it.

Not to mention the use of the concept in this case (As I said before, "I should stay on staff because I've been on staff for a long time").

although i completely agree with earning your place, i think it's rather rediculous to say that someone's post count should dictate anything about their status on a message board. Too much emphasis is put on post count which encourages meaningless and unsubstantive posts.

i would much rather have a staff member with 0 posts who maintained the board well than a staff member with 900 posts who did an okay job at best with board maintainance.

If it would have existed, Senior Administratorship would be about trust, not post count or number of days since registration.

Gavin, good point. From what I've seen of the logs, the majority of the people who were demoted weren't demoted just for being inactive, however, a lot of them may have 'survived' if they hadn't been inactive; which is why they say it's about being inactive.
