The demotions have now passed, and we'll be promoting a few people, correct. Maybe we will end up at 33 people again - I don't hope so - but at least the proportions would be much better (5+1 admins vs 10 admins).

Promotions come WHEN they come. Could be next week, could be in 3 days, could be tomorrow.

If nothing else, the staff will be smaller than it was before in the end and it'll be full of active members who we know can do a good job.

I can't stay quiet about this, as i believe this reconstruction went COMPLETELY wrong.
First off, Rydain got demoted for inactivity. Ok. Now let's compare her with one of the admins that are still on staff:

Rydain was more active than Jizuko in the last month, yet she is the only who got demoted for inactivity. Is this logic?

Now let's see, Yiffy Kitten was demoted because apparently, an admin having only 11 posts in 4 months is something terrible. Right, staff members now need to spam if they want to continue on staff.

And Phil (Valcion) apprently got demoted because staff thinks he is "phurious phil" and can go on a ban spree at any time for no reason.

I still don't get how could a staff reconstruction work when not even half of the staff were in the "staff meeting".

Where's the justice in this?

Eh... when I look at the admin list I notice that Emuz has only 29 posts, 0.09 per day. So I don't think this is about activity. Blades was also not very active and had a low post count. All in all, I don't care how staff restructuring goes as long as you get a staff that is effective. It's staff business, people in power, and that amounts to politics. If you don't want to get screwed in politics, make sure you go to all the meetings.
