I was raised Trekkie, but have recovered from it. Doesn't really matter to me. I like Star Trek's much more realistic [sounding attempts to explain/] explanations as to why what does whatever, and so on. Star Wars has the cool people and weapons. Most of the others...bleh. |

Star Wars, not the new ones but older ones we're all great. A close second is Starship Troopers I loved that movie. |

My favorite was John Carpenter's the Thing. It was just cool, and appealed to me more than all the others out there. |

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope beats all other movies. How many times do I have to say this?

The original Star Wars Trilogy. I mean nothing comes close. Who needs Jar-Jar, when you got Jabba?

Two words: The. Matrix. Not the sequels, the original. It's rather sad that both follow ups to one of the greatest action movies ever let up to be dissapointments. Revolutions is better named Revoltions. |

Star Wars. Easily. But you forgot a very good movie in that last, Total Recall. |

Saw some bits from Starship Troops, wierd movie... Star wars is the only one I can think of the top of my head, but it's quite unrealistic for an Sci-Fi Movie. Originally posted by Oin Ironbreaker Yeah, Star trek has alot of things which is based on real science. |

*shrug* I dunno... Bukaroo Banzai in the 8th Dimension is GREAT. OH!! Does the Matrix Trilogy count as Sci-Fi? If so, I'm up for those. |

Has anyone ever seen it? I heard it was about kids getting killed all over derry, scary for the little ones indeed. I put my vote on Star Wars, I would have also voted for Star Trk as well, but I guess I have to pick what I like most. I liked Star Wars Episode II, but that's not all I like. |

Would the Godzilla series be considered sci-fi? If so I change my pick |
