Yeah, um, I dunno... There's no particular order to this, just a bunch of albums I've really enjoyed.

The Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine
Less technical and chaotic than their previous stuff, but with better songwriting, and the best and most fitting vocalist they ever had. (Mike Patton was cool with DEP...but dammit, Greg's cooler for the band.) More melodic at parts than old DEP, and I'm convinced that "Setting Fire to Sleeping Giants" could be a radio smash hit.

Felix da Housecat - Devin Dazzle & the Neon Fever
Kind of retrooo electrooo... Felix is known for his digital recordings and remixes and such, but for this album he uses mostly analog synths, and throws in guest musicians to play drums and geetar and such as well. It's a very varied synth album.

haloblack - throb.
Dark electro. Drug-infested. Sloooow-teeempooooo. Took 5 or 6 years in the making, or to get released anyway. bryan black was about as productive as Trent Reznor for those years, but wait...not really, as bryan had OTHER music projects to do along the line.

RHAPSODY - SECRET OF ENCHANTLED LANDS Pt. II - The Dark Secret

My lord, this album has single-handedly reopened my heart to power metal. Plus the special edition packaging is absolutely delectable.

Therion - Zirius B/Lemuria

Hello? I have heard so little praise for these brilliant albums.

Machinae Supremacy- Deus Ex Machinae
A great group's first album offering, they've come far from the routes of covering videogame music. Now, they're making great original music of their own, with a distinct VG twist. Watch out for Missing Link - the song about Majora's Mask and the SIDstation, using the beloved SID sound chip from the Commodore 64.

Rammstein - Reise Reise
It almost never came out, but Reise Reise is a return to form for Rammstein after their Sonne album almost pushed them to collapse. They went back to the drawing table and made an album that they actually felt like making. It spawned the songs Mein Teil, and the great end-of-night anthem Amerika.

Mansun - Kleptomania
For a band that split up two years ago, this was a godsend to the dedicated of Mansun. It was recorded right as the band split up, and a year later and mixed into something that could be released. All of the missing pieces were recorded and filled in by Paul and Chad, and it formed the basis of the album. But that isn't what makes it so special... Bundled with Kleptomania is two more discs. One filled with non-album a sides and b sides, only previously accessable through collecting the epic EP collection. The other provided a collection of live tracks.

oniblade: I did. They still suck. (Although "A Decade Under the Influence" puts them into that rareified One Good Song territory, occupied by limelights like Creed and Default.)

8. Sparta: Porcelain
7. Mos Def: The New Danger
6. Future Soundtrack for America
5. Killers: Hot Fuss
4. Radio 4: Stealing Of A Nation
3. Dogs Die in Hot Cars: Please Describe Yourself
2. Hot Water Music: The New What Next
1. McLusky: The Difference Between Me And You Is I'm Not On Fire

The top two are interchangable, though.
