Although technically it is possible to win by simply announcing "Mornington Crescent", that would completely defeat the purpose of the game. It has happened at least once on air, albeit after the player concerned spent four minutes discussing the particular rules they were playing by. The true intent of the game is to be funny, and all other rules are invoked solely in the service of this objective. You may have won, but you lose. |

| Dude, that explaination of Mornington Cresent is SO wrong. I would suggest you perchase the guidebook to the 3rd Edition with the 5th Regulation rules explained, along with the Australian rules subguide. This should give you enough basic information to play some serious Mornington Cresent, but of course everybody KNOWS the very basic rules anyway. Are you sure the 'Churchill' method is legal in the updated 3rd Edition? Unless we're playing RulsUp rules. | Um, the ship's hatches are inaccessible if a letter that appears twice in your move also appears twice in the previous move ('e' in this case). Old Street is still a feasible move, but the triple word score doesn't apply and you're upside-down for 1d6 rounds, unless The Oracle allows you to atone. |
