Yeah, I should probably know this, but I can't figure out how to speed up the emulation, i. e. skip many frames, using FCEUXD. In other emulators there'll be a place to select this stuff, or assign a key to it, in the "Video" or "Input" menu. How do we speed up FCEUXD?

The '~' key.

I really wish you could reassign it you a joypad button. Fastforward is almost useless unless you can reach it from your playing hand(s). '~' is in the middle of nowhere... even when you're using the keyboard

Even if you use my wierd scheme no one uses (SDFE for the ABXY buttons (or AB in this case) not in order, mind you)) it's still out of the way.

Assigning a slowdown button would also be nice, then I could use A and Q for slowdown and speedup.

Looks like we founds omething bbitmaster can add, heh..

Thanks a lot; I had tried pressing every key on the keyboard to no avail. (On my keyboard, "~" requires the shift key; it's above the caret (^), next to the delete in the upper right corner.)

And can you decide how many frames to skip, or select a multiple of the normal speed?
