Get it. It's good. It's like the old X games, but with better graphics and more stuff to find.

It'll take you at least a few run-throughs to get everything.

Pros

- good music
- a semi decent plot
- Sigma dies for good. (seriously)
- one BADASS final boss (and its not even Sigma =o )
- a boss that screams MUFFINS!! and POTATO SALAD! while he attacks.
- Axl plays like Bass, except he hovers instead of double jump. (and his weapons all have infinite ammo), plus Axl's transformation move is actually useful.
- Unique boss abilities for all three characters.
- All characters start out with airdash. Zero starts with his double jump.
- Vile returns.
- decent voice acting. (the voices fit the characters mostly. Axl sounds like the typical arrogant teenager, X doesn't sound like a girl, and Signas sounds like the traditional high ranking officer.)
- Elevator level.
- 2 new navigators that are actually useful. Palette, although she has the most annoying voice ever, is really valuable when it comes to finding secrets. Layer usually tells you which enemies you can/need to copy as well.
- Tons of unlockable stuff (different armor for each of the characters, playable navigators, etc. Alia goes fucking CRAZY when she gets in ride armors.)
- GOOD ride chaser levels
- X's armor system.

Cons

- some slowdown in areas, but nothing TOO major.
- Vile's a total pushover.
- Vile's voice
- Palette's Voice (ADFSJLKDSLJKF SO ANNOYING)
- Some of the bosses are easier than the stages they're in
- Some of the boss designs really suck.

Well worth the 40 bucks.

Nah ...

BONER OF THE MONTH.

I heard X7 was, basically shit.

And I didn't exactly like X6.

But I've heard this game is actually very good, and does in fact return to the older roots of the series.

Vile returns? Kickass. (He slumbers in my profile)

Sigma dies for good? Must really be the final X chapter, from what I've heard.

Badass final boss, that's not Sigma? Hmm, I've had my guesses since witnessing the ending to X5.

But being the big Megaman fan that I am, I'm definitely wanting to try this out.

But, should I consider playing X7 first? Or maybe X: Command Mission? I've been following the X storyline since the start, and am pretty fond of it, just the last couple of X games seemed to be lacking.

But yeah, I've heard this game is much better than previous attempts.

Wouldn't they just be running out of animals to copy since that's the theme of the X games?

I think they might be at the point where they should remake some of the old robots.

the x games use plants too... (which usually have the coolest/most interesting designs)

Tornado Onion, Optic Sunflower....and technically Wire Sponge.

I also read that X8 was a big improvement over X7, but my friend said that X8 played like garbage also...............

I'm going to have to rent this before I consider buying it. I'm glad Sigma is not the final boss this time. Its ridiculous having him at the end of every game. So I assume he is not in the game at all then?

X6 was alright. I don't know why a lot of people don't like it. Personally, the best X games are 1, 2, and 3 for the Super NES. X3 was a very serious X game, as the music wasn't weak, and the bosses were fierce-looking. Then it kind of got dummied down with X4, which was more of an anime-style.
