I think 2k3 is better, More chipsets, and much better sound effects, XP also does not have the face set command which really sucks, and it is much more difficult to create a map with XP.

XP is better, by far. You can customise every thing much easily (by using Ruby).

By the way, there are more official chipsets than the default RTP set, you know.

Well I'm voting XP, basically for it's better graphics, different sized char sets, a scripting facility (which would allow you to make a 2k3 style battle system and face sets) and I've found it is the easiest RPG Maker so far to make maps... especially being able to make a chip set really big, thus only needing one for the entire game

Indeed, XP, has my vote as well...its by far the best on of all the RPG Maker's mostly because of the scripting...but many other things as well.

Well, i like rpg maker xp. Rpg maker xp was made so that if thier was somthing missing that you wanted you could add it yourself.
It is indeed the best rpg maker ever made thus far.

This was so unnecessary. This happens all the time. People vote but just don't post because they don't have anything good to say.

Id say 2003 actually, but only because of the side view battle system. You can probably do it in xp, but id would require working in that ruby thing, which I can't do. XP has got better graphics and stuff, but the interface in the database is terrible. It looks so untidy.

It's interface is pretty much like 2k3 although to me it DOES look a little bit like windows 3.1 a little bit... although XP is still the easiest to use by far

XP...
It provides enough lee-way for creativity and does'nt limit the amount of colours you can use or the space for the graphics. I've always been frusterated with colour and size on the previous versions and my pictures used as titles were always screwd up in 2k3. Once I get the full version of Lightwave, I'll make some awesome 3d chipsets.

I think XP is better...I use to think that 2003 was. But it isn't as interesting as XP even though if it has the FF battles or whatever.
