| I bought a SATA HD, but my problem is, that my BIOS didn't detect it, do I need to install special drivers or soemthing like that? Or can someone tell me how a SATA HD works? |

| Assuming you plugged the HD into the mobo, and you are trying to install Windows : When you install windows it will ask you if you want/need to install a RAID or third party SCSI driver. At this point you press the f[num] key (I think it's F6), and you insert your SATA driver that came with your motherboard (a floppy disk usually). The installation will go on normally from then on. As for the BIOS not detecting the SATA HD, this is normal. If you still have problems during the Windows installation (i.e. 'no hard drive found'), you might want to double check if SATA is set as a bootable device in the BIOS.
