You know, I'm going to make a calander that starts on Wednesday, just to bug people.

The JASON thing would have been useful in 3rd grade or so when I couldn't remember the order of the months.

The proof that sunday should be the last day of the week:

What do you call Saturdays and Sundays? WEEKEND. The end of the week. If Sunday is the first day of the week, when why aren't we saying "Week start and end"?

Questions? No? Good.

Bad logic there, Smallhacker. Just because you call something someone doesn't mean that's what it is or what it's used for. We park on driveways and drive on parkways and apartments are all together

Besides, the days are always in the same order, so why does it matter what day the rotation starts on?

Though speaking of calendars and patterns, wasn't there one as to how many days are in a month? That's something I still can't get down.

The week starts on Sunday for me. Not because of any religion or anything, but just because it's what I've gotten used to over 20 years, and it'd be quite hard to start thinking differently now

As far as the JASON thing, after November comes December, which starts with a D, as we all know, so it would read 'JASOND' instead. The funny thing with this was that back in 7th or 8th grade in public school, there was someone in our class named Jason Dewale (I think that's how you spell his last name). It fits perfectly with that calendar thing I distinctly remember underlining that bit on a calendar that was on the chalkboard, and someone pointed it out as we were leaving class

I never noticed the WTF thing with the days of the week though. Interesting stuff, but there's not a whole lot you can do with it, besides point it out to other people

har har har at the "WTF" during the days of the week.

Starting week on monday wouldn't bother me any as that is the day I usually hate the most because of going back to work/school/nothing to look forward to/ect.....

Noticed them and it isn't very funny...

I don't care about days, or months anymore, I just need to know the date so I can write it down on my school paper so I can get credit ...

You've spent a minimum of a decade on this Earth, each of you. And there is probably over 100 years of life in you folk...Yet you've not known something I pointed out in grade 3 and then about 2 years ago?

Nope, in third grade I was busy reading anything I could get my hands on and trying to write poetry for the first time.

Everyone seems to notice these sorts of things when they're little though, and I usually don't ever catch them now.

Yeah, I knew that. Search for onomono's (that's me) definition of WTF on urbandictionary.

Guess why Friday is my favorite day.

WTF Jason, I never noticed

Then again, I'm more used to see the day/month names in French, but we still get the "Jason" thing ...

I always thought weeks started on Sunday, since it's usually that way on calendars here and it looks centered, but it does feel like weeks start on Monday

To answer all your questions: English is a stupid language, and the people who made this stuff up were far too into religion. I say we need to get some kinda good implimentation of metric time going. You can still go to church every 7 days or whatever the hell you want.

Funny note on the weekend thing... I believe that in Canada, TV Guide originally listed shows from Monday to Sunday, I think. Now it's plain old Saturday to Friday.

And I'm sure that's what they did in my youth.
