Put a Mac OS compatible emulator on a floppy/CD-ROM and give it to him.

Paradox said it doesn't have a connection to the internet. The only possible way I can see is having a PC formatted floppy, so definitely make sure the mac has the PC Exchange extension so the mac can read a PC formatted floppy. If you plan on compressing the roms to fit them on the floppy, be sure to have Stuffit Expander at hand. Hopefully you can get them on to the Mac somehow with the method that I described here. |

Or you can burn them on a CD. Seriously, burn the roms on a CD and put some nice emulators from Zophar net. Of course can you use floppies, but belive me. You probably need two-three floppies for an single rom... an compressed one. |

Make sure you either have a program on PC that can read Macintosh floppies/CD's, or a program on Macintosh that can read PC floppies/CD's, else you're screwed Next, find the emulator for Macintosh that you want to use (one that doesn't require higher than MacOS 8, so GreyBox and iNES are the best options), download it on the PC, copy it on the floppy or CD, put that in the Macintosh, extract from the .bin or .sit (with whatever program in the Macintosh that can do that), enjoy Do the same with the ROMs, except there's no extracting to do for them, just plain copy the files (.nes, not zipped) ... That's how I was able to get NESMac into my old Macintosh LC II with no Internet and only MacOS 7 (NESMac was the only one that worked, I tried iNES and got this), I had to use a floppy disk and a Macintosh program that can read PC floppies ... but it worked, as you can see here (edited) Hmm, I don't know why I mentioned NES emulators in particular, but oh well, it'd work the same way for SNES and others (edited by Acmlm on 03-25-04 09:53 AM) |

Or you could just deal with having loads of roms on your comp. It isn't that big of a deal... they don't take up THAT much space...

Then again, it depends which console ... 1000 NES ROMs = about 100MB, not too bad 1000 SNES ROMs = about 1GB 1000 GBA ROMs = about 2GB 1000 N64 ROMs = about 10GB (but 1000 is insane ) And I don't think he's going to need over 1000 ROMs either |
