Is there any reason a computer would just randomly beep? I was just loading a page and the internal speaker beeped. No warning messages or anything. The only reason I can think of that it would do that is if it were overheating, but I already know this doesn't give any warning (just reboots). |

Damn that was fast! ![]() Yes, mine is running quite slow at the moment, since I'm using Mozilla while Photoshop is open. (Not very easy on one's CPU, or RAM for that matter. ) Lotta lag involved. |

My computer beeped weirdly when we installed the very first things on it. ![]() I just though: "What the heck? " Dunno what it was, though. |

One time, my newer computer went BEEBEEBEEBEEBEEetc. while it was shutting down...I still don't know why, and it hasn't happened again. It tends to do strange things sometimes. ![]() As for my older computer, it could be beeping right now, but I'll never know--the speaker hasn't been hooked up for a long time. ![]() |

| I have my beep disabled. Nothing bad has happened as a result of it, so I don't see a point in having it on. | |||

Some computers can even play music through those. It drove my teacher crazy in computer class, because he couldn't just take the speakers. ![]() One time in school we had some Macs in the back, and one just started beeping like crazy for no apparent reason. Nobody could tell why. ![]() |

| Check you RAM, if the RAM is defect the computer begins to beep, but then it wouldn't start Windows. I only can imagine that one of your deivecs is defect and has to be repaired or should be changed. But it can be a virus! Check your system. |
