| I haven't really checked the prices for Christmas trees around here, but I would assume that they go for something like (16) 24 - 32$. If I were to buy one, I don't think I'd pay more than 32$. | |||

But at the very least, you could fairly easily come ot the conclusion it wasn't serious by the fact that I said that if it was magic it wouldn't burn quite so well, suggesting I was taking what Jarukoth said completely literally, when it was so obviously figurative that only Trapster could actually do so. | I've seen decent real tree lots around here for $40-50 Canadian, but I'm sure that's only the average going rate. $200 doesn't really surprise me given shipping costs to get them to the islands. |

If *you* want to go out into a forest and cut down a tree that might be lying on someone's property and said owner comes out with a shotgun, it's YOUR problem trying to explain to the doctors at the hospital how come you have pellets in your butt.  Some people can get away with finding public domain trees though. |

Alaska is up here, northwest of Canada. Hawaii is over here, MANY miles from the west of California and surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. Of COURSE they need to freight them over. |
