Anyone else notice suprnova.org is down, and possibly forever?

Tis' a sad time.

I've never seen a torrent site that can compare to suprnova's selection.

Is it legal to ask for some in this forum? If so close this I guess.

At least I downloaded Symphony X' s V album before this all happened, so I'm semi-what good to go.

Ar, I'm mad.

You bastard.

I take my time with torrents, I don't know why. I've had a half-completed Edguy: Kingdom of Madness album just sitting there for nearly a month and haven't bothered to finish it up.

And now it's too late.

And when I want something, I ask my friends to help me find a torrent link somewhere. And that's what I'll do to 'survive'.

Most likely because it isn't connected to a very large number of seeders and peers. That may be wrong, but it's my guess

On the topic of Suprnova going down, that's too bad. It was one of my prime sources for downloading stuff There's a site I know of that's a mirror of Suprnova, and I tested one download there, which still worked, but who knows how long that site's going to remain there I'd post a link in here, but I'm not sure if that'd be against the rules or not. If someone could tell me yes or no, that'd be appreciated

There's also sites like Torrent-Core, but they don't have as much of a selection of torrents

Edit: I just read Trapster's post, and I wasn't going to make a whole new post for this, but if anyone wants the link to the site I'm talking about, as long as it's up, PM me for it

It's a VERY sad day.

The plus side is that there ARE a bunch of trackers/torrent sites out there, but now you're likely going to have to look at 3-4 different sites for what you want rather than 1 all-inclusive site.

If you have the .torrent file and the tracker's still up, I don't see why that would be a problem.

Looks like authorities have decided to take action..

But.. actually: http://www.slyck.com/news.php?story=616

If this ever gets a public release.. The RIAA and MPAA will be powerless.. once again.. I don't think we'll see P2P die sometime soon.. Even if they close the current ways of downloading, the're will always have alternative of getting the files..

Nadda. Agreed.

Torrents can basically be made by anyone, that knows how to do it. Bit torrent even comes with instructions on how to do so. Get yourself a server, and there you go.

So yeah, I agree. No matter how long this is going to drag out, I'm sure P2P is here to stay for quite sometime ...

Supernova.org isn't a torrent site, at least I don't think it is.

NSNick: If you had a torrent file saved from Suprnova you should be fine. If you were relying on just clicking the link to resume your download...
