| First of all, if any of this was brought into the public eye you'd have people calling it revisionist history, even if some [or all? jeez I hope not] of it is true. It would be seen as an attempt to undermine civil rights movements in America, because one of the pillars or icons of the movement would be destroyed. Second, I don't even care to know the lurid details of his life. What he stands for abstractly is way bigger than any of the bad stuff he could have done. Oh so he's a communist and that makes him a devil? How can you demonize someone for what they believe in, even if you view it as wrong? Re: plagiarism. Go read any kind of academic writing. It will contain all kinds of borrowed segments and lines of reasoning. I'm sure what they were describing is blown way out of proportion. I generally don't believe much of this site just because the way they deconstructed him is so systematic, and seems slightly biggoted overall. |
