People will join shall be able to join eventually, but not now) ______________________________________________ It was unknow how long the age of darkness had lasted. Maybe a century... maybe millenias... maybe it just lasted a second... Still, whatever the time it had lasted, this age, triggered by the destruction of the Universe's heart, had plunged the Universe into a darkness so deep that even time does not seemed to exist inside of it... But the Universe was not destroyed. Eventually, the Universe would exist once again... Slowly, a legendary being opened her eyes... It has been an eternity since she had last saw anything... She remembered the last words she had heard... "Eventually, the time shall come when you will be needed once again in the Universe. At this time, you shall awaken and wield the Sword of Souls once again... but for now, rest in peace. You deserved it..." What do the words were meaning? At the time she had heard them, they were the carriers of a meaningful message of hope... but now, they had lost their meaning. She was filled with so much sorrow and yet, she didn't know why... it was as if the entire sorrow of the Universe had been forced into her heart... She looked around and was puzzled to find that there was nothing. Not even a single atom of matter. All that there was was pure emptiness... But suddenly, as suddenly as she had awakened, a world appeared before her... She was on the surface of a planet obviously, standing in the middle of some plains... the wind was blowing... |

| Storms shattering, clouds gazing upon the meadowlands, and suddenly, fog started to commense everywhere, all around Ex. From the vengeful tip of Ex's eyes to the knife-edged tip of her sword, Ex had risen. Just when you thought that the world would never hear from Ex again, for the first time in ages, the legendary Ex had walked the face of the earth... once again. For all these years, Ex was believed to have been dead. Anonymously, Ex had been killed many times in her life, only to respawn somewhere in the great planet we call "Earth"... centuries later. For all these years, the notorious Legion of Doom had been trying to rid the Multiverse of the "Ex" beings once and for all, beginning with the true "Ex", and had finally succeeded... supposedly. It wasn't until Ex had been exiled into the black crevices of the Undead Zone and had lurked her way through various challenges that laid ahead, contuously taking out perposterous rivals that got stronger by the minute, only to face the world's most feared enemy of all times, that Ex had been put to eternal rest. Havok had fought Ex's very last battle, and he thought he had placed the final nail in the coffin for her when a time jump had somehow "erased" the true Ex from memory, while killing, and thereafter resurrecting, a counterfeit clone of Ex! Was this truly the plan? Sadly, their answer is yes and no. Havok had returned to the ZX-409, and had a centuries-long celebration. He joined the rest of his crew, and had a gathering. The ambitious chants of "The suffering is over!" filled the entire space-ship, for the Legion of Doom had always been striving to fullfill their life long goal: to seek and destroy Ex, and had finally succeeded... or so they thought! But they were wrong! Somehow, The Host (the Multiverse's "CPU", or inhabitor) reset the time zones completely, back to the beginning of time, when Ex was just your average "heroine". Everything and everyone that fell to their deaths one point in their (sadly short) lifetime rose from the grave. From the moment Ex had returned, hands were sought to be sticking out of the cemetery's, and soon, bodies! The minds, souls, and spirits of once-dead beings were seen to be rising from the dead, and given new everlasting life again. However, this also sparked the return of the Absolute Evil himself. Meaning that new rivalries co-exsisted. Absolute Evil, aka NeoBowser, had risen back to power again. Given his resurrection, he had the power to wipe the earth clear off the black moon gazes of outer space, and eventually it would happen unless someone, or something, were to stop it. | (On the edge of the Prison Dimension, sector A-001 codenamed "Hell") NeoBowser looked around him... he was inside of an ancient castle. Three beings were standing before him. One of them was a fallen angel, the other a demonic zombie, and the last was a arch-devil. They were the Prime Evils... NeoBowser: "Once again... I am among the living... Once again, I can feel the hatred and fear of people flowing trought me and giving me strenght... Evil has finally returned to the Universe..." NeoBowser roared in rage. NeoBowser: "AND IT ISN'T THANKS TO YOUR EFFORTS, THAT'S FOR SURE! I don't understand why I had put so much hope in you. I espected the Prime Evils to be worthy servants... but weakness and deception was all that you offered me! I shall put you back where I found you! I shall return you to your graves... just like I should have done so long ago!" NeoBowser roared again and shot a gigantic wave of darkness from his hands, returning the three demons to their graves. NeoBowser then noticed something... something that he was hating. The sun was emitting light... NeoBowser: "Li... light in Hell?!?" NeoBowser stared at the sun. It was, indeed, emitting light. NeoBowser: "The... these cursed Hunters! They purified Hell and turned it into a dark-elemental version of Heaven! They shall pay for this! ... but first... I must rebuild my empire. I must rebuild the United Evil Nations! My first action to rebuild it shall be to plunge this world into darkness!" NeoBowser shot a beam of darkness toward the sun. Seconds later, the sun began to change color... after a few minutes, the sun turned black and emitted pure darkness, plunging Hell into eternal darkness... NeoBowser: "NOW that's better! It is now time to pay a little visit to the demon specie... I bet they didn't forgot about me! I just can't wait to see the terror on their faces when they will see me." NeoBowser laughed and then, he began the journey toward the capital city of Hell. NeoBowser *thinks* As soon as I will have taken possession of Hell, I shall see how the world has changed when I was gone. I wonder if the Hunters continued the "Ex" project after my death... ___________________________________________ (On Seph's homeworld) Ex felt a major dimensional anomaly... it was so strong and so sudden... it was as if the way light and darkness flows had been entirely altered in a dimension... ... but Ex ignored the anomaly. She was way too confused about where she was and why she was there to care about an anomaly. Ex looked around. The world around her was seemingly pretty average... exept that she was sensing the presence of a being similar to her... exept that, for some reason, it's soul had been separated into pieces. Ex *thinks* An... "Ex" being? ... but what happened to it... why is it in several pieces? I must find out who is it... and what happened to it... Ex advanced toward in the general direction of the "Ex" being... ______________________________________________ (Dimension 0, Hunters' motheship, the Lancer) Agent: "Admiral! The Heart of the World has been destroyed... just as you ordered." Zerodius: "Results?" Agent: "It seemed to break down for a while... but then..." Zerodius: "It was as if nothing had ever happened?" Agent: "Exactely." Zerodius: "Just as planned..." Agent: "Should you report to the Earth Council?" Zerodius: "No. Nothing of this ever happened." Agent: "What?" Zerodius: "You heard me. I never gave this order. I never even tought about that order. Understood?" Agent: "What?!?" Zerodius: "UNDERSTOOD?" Agent: "... yes..." Zerodius: "Good. | On Seph's homeworld, as Ex's new adventure began to unfold, she had found herself in the middle of a gigantic storm. Lightning shatters could be heard from a mile away, and the environment's entire contents were plunged into darkness. Eventually, Ex would see the light again, but until then, Ex would have to work her way through the dark. Where would she go next? She did not know. But wherever lay ahead of her made no difference. She continued to walk forward, down the dark meadow, somewhere beyond the grave, who's contents were now reduced to nothingness. However... something seemed to have blocked her way. Upon arrival, a large "rolling" noise could be heard from underground. Suddenly, Ex had been pushed backward as something was rising from the ground... a tombstone! It's intentions were anonymous, but it became clear that it appeared to have stopped before her for a reason. In ancient symbols/writing, the tombstone was marked "Tales from the Crypt". But then Ex saw something that caught her attention. Below the ancient markings lay a symbol resembling the Dark Weapon, and it appeared to be the size of her palm! Ex, utterly confused by it's contents, suddenly placed her right palm over the symbol and suddenly, the grave sunk back down into the grave... with Ex disappearing before it! Ex was teleported, and had found herself in the middle of a small room with a sandstone table and a skeleton corpse holding a large paper, whos contents were written in Egyptian, who dared not speak it's name nor it's true purpose. Ex continued to wonder what brought her here, until the skeleton creature began to speak it's first proposterous words. Skeleton: "Welcome, Ex! I have been expecting you!" *rest of conversation to be continued by Zerodius in the next post* Meanwhile, as Ex's search for revenge continues, the moon shines it's dark gazes among the planet as dark clouds started to rise from the sky, and purple dark mist could be seen everywhere. Lightning shattered as loud as clanging metal spoons, until a large red lightning bolt was seem crashing down from the sky, hitting the ground in an impact! Scaringly, something else had popped up from the ground, right in the same spot where the tombstone once laid. Only it was something far scarier than a tombstone... it was a large, black casket, covered in dirt and earth worms that coiled within the earth's soil, and it appeared to be hiding something from inside! All of a sudden, the seals had been broken and the door began to open, yet nothing was to be seen but smoke from inside... or so it seemed! Smoke began to rise from inside the coffin, smothering any evidence of what was to come, until, after a few seconds, the smoke had cleared and a mutated ninja-like being, whos arms were folded in the shape of an "X", could be seen! A phenom being who's suit was as black as it's heart, who's mask was yellow and blue, who's forehead had a red "X" carved right through it, who's sword was as futile as a pack of raging wolves, who's face showed nothing of itself but a pair of blood red eyes, who's arms were mutated and veiny, who's bloody legs could partially be seen by holes ripped in the pants area, and, in itself, was a being so crude, so evil, that Hell itself, spat him back out. This being was a ruthless monster that rises only when the moon shines over the night sky. He was every child's worst nightmare. He was the 8th incarnation of Alien Seph himself, who was involved in the assassination of Dimension 0's saviur: Ex Lightheart. He is among the living dead. He was the vampire-ninja hybrid himself: Dark Ryu. His arms remained folded until the smoke had completely cleared. For a few seconds, he dared not move. He layed as still as a statue, eyes wide shut and all, until... he had arosen! He had walked on two feet again! Once again, he had walked the very base of the grave! He had shut the door into the casket and then, smoke began to rise out of it again as it had vanished completely, never again to appear. Ryu had started an adventure of his own, knowing one thing for certain... Ex had risen! He turned his attention toward Alien Seph, seeking to warn him and the others about Ex's return. Ex may have returned from the dead, but one thing was for certain... it did not go unnoticed. |

| Skeleton: "I am a ancient spirit that should have disappeared long ago... but before I passing away, I wanted to tell you a tale... and give you an artifact... now listen... It is said that someday, after a horrible battle, the shattered soul will be repaired and the different incarnations shall be one once again. It is then that the tortured soul will be given one last chance to give the world a future... I believe that you are this soul, Ex. You have been torn apart by time, seen horrors no soul should have ever seen, went into the depths of the darkness... and yet, you stand before me... Now, Ex, I want you to approach the table and push it to the side of this room. Under the table is sealed an artifact that has the power to alter the course of History itself. I would like to get the artifact myself and give it to you... but unlike you, I didn't pass the test of time. My body has been completely destroyed and my soul is almost gone... I fear that I am too weak to do anything for you anymore. Now go and take the artifact... it is rightfully yours." On these words, the skeleton dropped the paper. The paper turned into dust before even touching the floor... the skeleton itself turned into dust seconds after the paper was destroyed. Ex slowly approached the table... and then, she grabbed it and pushed it out of the way! Under the table was hidden a small blood-red jewel... Ex grabbed the jewel and lifted it into the air. Several pieces of metal as well as a incredibly long blade came out of the jewel. Then... the jewel seemed to open... and Ex realised that it was not a jewel, but an eye. As Ex stared into the eye... she began to wonder... what did the skeleton mean by "shattered soul"? How can a sword change the course of History? What did the skeleton mean by "giving the world a future"? Suddenly, Ex was teleported outside. As soon as she was teleported, the tombstone disappeared... |

| A being identical to Fox McCloud from Dimension 7 exept for his red eyes... For a second, Dark Ryu felt a feeling he didn't felt for a very long time... fear... the being's red eyes were striking fear into the very depths of his soul. It was as if he was knowing instinctively that this being was his natural enemy and that he should run, run like he had never ran before. Lt.Shadow: "Going somewhere?" The being laughed. It's voice was very cold and cruel-sounding. Lt.Shadow: "I do not know who or what you are... but all that I know is that you have a piece of the last remaining "Ex" being's soul inside of your body... and becease of this, you will die." |

| Dark Ryu (with a big grin, while breaking a sweat): "But you will have to catch me first!" Before Lt. Shadow could say anything, smoke filled the meadow and Dark Ryu vanished before it. It had not become clear to Lt. Shadow that Dark Ryu had disappeared until the smoke cleared and saw that there was nothing there. Where could he have gone now? What will Seph and the others think of Ex's infractions? The being who had returned from the Dead and now holds the power to alter time itself? The answers are coming. Lt.Shadow: "I guess it is time to show this world that Evil has returned..." Lt.Shadow smiled... Lt.Shadow: "I shall go to the closest town and kill everyone in sight... and take pictures of the children and women begging for mercy before being consumed, both body and soul. These pictures should strike terror into the hearts of this world's population and prepare the way for the revival of the United Evil Nations." | Ryu was nowhere in sight, but the reason for his departure was quite obvious nonetheless: beating Ex to the Legion of Doom's quarters was far more important than dealing with Lt. Shadow now. However, that didn't stop him from reading into his thoughts and learning about HIS weaknesses just the same. Legend has it that everyone who has been put on his black list will be scarred (wounded-scarred, not "afraid" scared) mentally for life. That's part of the so-called "Curse" of his. Unknowingly, that aspect of Ryu coiled deep down inside Shadow's head, until the time came to finally make the biggest mistake of his life! In the meantime, Ryu had successfully escaped from the dark meadow from which he had risen to the occasion and teleported directly to Seph's home planet, in the Metropolitian part of the area, inside the Legion of Doom's private HQ. Ryu lay inside of a many stories high, castle-like estate with a thrown on a banshee which lay atop the private quarters. Guarded by humble security, with troops covering the entire staircase leading into the main door, Ryu was in no hurry to run down to Seph's throne and to inform them of the new "life" that has been brought to this world. Ryu, who is now seen wearing a large straw hat and black cape, the Dragon Staff (which the Dragon Sword had rebecame due to the shift in time of day), many armored plates on his wrists, legs, knees, neck, and body, containing ancient "snake" symbols on them (basically what you would see on Yoshimutsu [Tekken]). His eyes had now become yellow instead of red, but still holding just as much fury within them as before. He continued walking until he lay within a foot of Seph's chair, who laid aquainted by a few of his teammates (ZeroNumberX, the new "Havok", Dark Shadow and Headhunter). He then kneeled down, bowing before his master, his head laying right above the very tip of the staff. Ryu: "I have some news, master..." Seph: "What?" Ryu: "I regret to inform you, but....." Seph: "No...." Ryu: "Yes, she is alive....." Seph: "The galaxie's most feared creature..." Ryu: "The abomination...." Seph: "The antagonistic..." Ryu: "The delusional..." Seph: "The passionate..." Ryu: "Vengeful..." Seph: "Ex Lightheart!" Havok rose from his seat in rage when the last 2 words left Seph's mouth. Havok (with a voice loud and creepy enough to give even the most fearless individuals a run for their money): "Impossible! You've come this far, to play another one of those boring mind games of yours?!?!!?" Ryu: "It is no myth, my lord. Ex is alive". Havok: "SHE IS NOT!!!! I diminished her! In a fair fight, I emptied her entire remains into the Zone of Deletion! She is gone, serving as another one of those programs that run "The Host" itself. Like water under a bridge, Ex is all but living. Ex is DEAD!! I put an end to the neusance known as "Ex Lightheart" in such a way as to make her resurrection utterly impossible! She is GONE!! You hear me?! GONE!!!!!!" Ryu: "Perhaps she once was, but she has returned to us now... but not alone". Havok: "Don't tell me that the rest of the "Exs" are all alive too!" Ryu: "No, my lord. Something much more than that. It is not only the "Ex" beings that have returned to our presence... it is everyone... and everything. Everything that once-exsisted has brought new life to this world, for all but eternity." Headhunter: "But we can put a stop to this once and for all!" Havok: "Yes! I'm the one who killed her remember!" Seph: "Yes! We all remember!" ZeroNumberX: "And have something to remember her by as well!" *holds up the Dark Weapon* Havok: "Hey! Enough fooling around! We have waited far too long, and now it's personal! (using telepathy) Ex Lightheart, I know you're out there, somewhere along the foothills, waiting for someone to come and put you back to rest like I did millenias ago! I know you can hear me! I'm not afraid of you! Lesson be learned: we... will... DESTR-O-Y Y-OU!!! We did it once, and heck, we can do it again! We proved the hard way that we are many times stronger than you could ever dream of being! Now, just come out and show yourself, coward!!! We will do you good!! SHOW YOURSELF!!!!!!" Then....... Ex smiled at the idea of seeing another "Ex" being... when suddenly... Ex received Seph's message. Ex *thinks* What the... that being sure is aggressive! | However, a group full of guards stopped Ex's walk. They were armed and dangerous, and covered the entire stairway leading into the L.O.D. main quarters. Guard #1: "Just who are you and where do you think you're going?" Guard #2: "You would not have the guts to step through this door!" Guard #3: "You will never be able to match up to the Legion of Doom's power!" Guard #4: "There is a dark force that governs this building, leaving it off limits to civilians. You'll never make it within an inch of the Boss!" Guard #5: "So we ask you to please step away... or suffer the consequences!" Suddenly, all guards pointed their fully loaded guns towards Ex's head simultaneously. There were a large enough number of guards as so to completely surround Ex in a circle, and they meant business! |

| However, the guards dared not shoot. They stepped back some and merely hesitated. Guard #1: "Alien Seph, the leader, has 8 very powerful incarnates and is protected by the Legion of Doom. Legend has it that these "creatures" are cursed and cannot be killed. You would merely die trying!" Guard #1 stepped away from the door and bowed to it in a sense as if he were greeting Ex with "you first". Guard #1: "Go ahead and step through this door... if you dare! But remember: once you step in, you can never step back out!' |

| From the moment the door creeked open, Ex stood in the middle of a royal throne-like room. On each side, there was a line full of doors, and a painting of a mutated figure beside each of them. There was a staircase on both sides, leading to even more mysterious hallways, and places that no weak mortal could ever dream of going. This so-called "room" was, infact, an exact replica of the Mirovingian's quarters (Matrix Reloaded), only this was not based on earth (Dimension 0). This was based in the Unknown, for even what lurks inside these doors is a mystery. Supposedly, the biggest of the mysteries was... where is Seph and the others? Regardless, noone dared stepping out of any of the doors. They decided to let the prey come to them! However, something seemed to have stopped Ex's moves. Ex, for some unforseen reason, could not help but stare one of the paintings straight square in the eye, for there was something in this picture which gave Ex a chill down her spine. Ex knew, from the imagery of the portrait, that there was another being in this world just like her, only more. What would be the end for Ex and her species. What posed as a lifelong threat to Ex Lightheart, and still is. The way Ex starred at the painting it was as if Ex had her eyes glued right to it! Ex continued to stalk the painting in fear, sweat rolling down her forehead, until something seemed to have been messing with her head! The entire hallway was pitched into pure darkness. The stairways, closed doors, paintings, metal objects, etc vanished right before her eyes! Nothing lay in front of Ex but some illusions that were running through her head, causing Ex to scoffle one hand over her foreheard in mental pain! Out of the blue, illusions of a burning "X" cross, the skull of a mutated Pichu like herself, a gravesite with many small, bony hands sticking out of a grave, and the sounds of her own father's screams as a black mage with a large straw hat and cape whipped him into submission and then ripped his soul clear out, revealing nothing but the straw hat (which blocked most of his face) and the glowing yellow eyes. And then, the straw that broke the camel's back! The merciless, demented, utterly sadistic laughs of the Absolute Evil, and the throne of his dark armies and henchmen lined up before him! All the while, something was playing games with Ex's head, preventing her from advancing any further through the LOD's quarters, bringing out a message so powerful that even she could not ignore. Ex was stuck between a rock and a hard place, as, when the suffering was over, a gray door magically appeared before her in the pitch black room. Beside the door was an oversized key with a "dragon" symbol over the top of it and was, infact, several times Ex's own size. Without lifting a finger, the door then magically moved off the ground and slit through the keyhole in the door, and turned. When the door opened, Ex walked through and an ancient temple could be seen. Ex lay in the middle of a stone wall room, with ancient symbols and markings implanted on all walls, with the many skulls and dead corpses laying everywhere. Ex stood in the very center, standing right on a circle with a burning "X" carved on it. This "X" was the symbol of the Legion of Doom, and the deranged Havok himself, the man made famous for killing Ex millenias ago in a fight to the finish. Suddenly, underground movements were heard.... As a casket, protected by glass outerings, rose from that center line. Ex jumped off in a hurry as a large black coffin was to be seen. After rising about a foot from the ground, the noise stopped and the coffin started to shake! For a moment or so, it appeared as though the whole temple were about to collapse before her by the abnoxious rattling! Finally, once the rattling had stopped, smoke commensed as the coffin opened. More mind games were taunting Ex's brain as nothing was to be seen for a few seconds. Then, when the smoke cleared, a familiar face was seen: the undead Dark Ryu himself, who was still in the same form as Ex had seen him before in the dark meadows despite it being daytime! This let Ex knew that something mighty fishy was tinkering about the temple! But.... what? Ryu just stood there, looking Ex in the eye, but dared not speak nor make any sudden movements! He was waiting....... |

| Ex stared at Ryu for a while and then "stared" at his soul. She "saw" a piece of the "Ex" being's soul into Ryu and felt relieved... Ex: "Phew! For a while, I tought that you were a servant of Alien Seph... but you are an "Ex" being such as I am... or should I say, a piece of an "Ex" being. Could you please explain to me what the heck happened? Just a few hours ago, I was sleeping peacefully... then I had that weird nightmare in which soul-less clones of me were killing people... and now, I awaken in the middle of nowhere, I'm no longer infused with the Power of Hatred, the Absolute Evil has been revived, and I can no longer sense any "Ex" beings exept for you and the other pieces of the "Ex" being's soul..." Ex looked more carefully at Ryu... Ex *thinks* That's... weird... he looks kind of... familiar? Must be nothing! |
