| Okay, I have'nt had such a great life after my parents divorced... My dad has done some terrible shit to me for the last 3 years... -Punched me for not cleaning the dishes -Beat me for disagreeing with him -Cussed me out because I did'nt want to talk to him -Threatened to kill me for locking myself in my room -Blamed me for the divorce Now he's found out where I live and what my phone number is. He keeps calling every two hours or so telling me how worthless I am. I've disconnected the line and now he's e-mailing me hundreds of times with lovely titles like this, "ANSWER THE FUCKING PHONE!!!!". I blocked him and now he's coming every so often and banging the shit outta my door. I don't know what his fucking problem is, maybe it's because I'm no longer a minor so he cannot be charged for child abuse. I gotta move out of this mother fucker!!! Sorry for the language, but I'm just angry and scared outta my mind... I don't have to TRY to have a normal day going to school and work with him chasing after me. The bastard keeps coming back and watching me. I think he wants the few thousand dollars in scholorship that I earned last year. I've made a few additional thousand since I graduated. | I've called a few minutes ago. They said they'll send a few guys to search the area for a few hours. They'll come back with a few other guys tomorrow morning. Told me to hang in here. I thought I'd finally live a separate life but somehow my dad knew that I got a lot of money. He's lost his credit card the last few days I've lived with him and he lost 10k. He left his wallet at a bar while he was drunk. I think he might have got laid off his job, maybe that's why... |

Like I said, he has no right to do this to you, none at all, and nothing he says in his defense is a good excuse for his behaviour, IMHO. He's a grown man, he should know to act better. I'm glad that the police are coming to help you. I was a little concerned for your safety, so I'm very relieved that you've called the police. I had an ex stalk me once, for months on end. It wasn't fun... and while I'm sure it's different to how your Dad's acting now, I do understand how scary it is to have somebody who just will not leave you alone... *big hugs* I hope things get better for you. |

| File for emancipation if you're a minor. Get the police or the protection services involved. If there is an abuse shelter nearby, contact them and let them take care of you. | Next thing you should do is simple. 1) A permanent restraining order so he can not bother you again. 2) Jail time. Let him sit in a cell with a big guy named Buba. I think HE can do more then just straighten him out. 3) Change phone and e-mail address. I think he can't call but I think he can still e-mail you. In matter of fact if there is nobody you like or more where you work then move when you get a job transfer. A restraining order may get him arrested It doesn't mean he is willing to kill you then take jail time again. yea number 3 sounds scary but I would not take any chances at all. this man is going to remember it all his life. he is either gonna grateful for you setting him on the right path or he will loathe you for the rest of his life. I'll tell you this. My birth"father" is the exact same way (really, I'd think of him nothing more as the seed that spawned me). I'm not quite sure how your father is age-wise but...let me tell you for me. There's nothing more ANNOYING than having a 35-year-old Japanese man, who looks like a bad boy band accident, constantly badgering you with IMs and E-mails. Though I temporarily took care of him with the help of his daughters (they wrote "for a good time, call [his number]" in an elementry school bathroom stall  ) he seems to have nothing better to do than bug the ever loving fuck out of me and try to irk me. He can't speak much english so I just tend to ignore his constant "YOU ARE SHIT GUY" messages. But I never have seen this "thing" face to face, and he really hasn't gone as far as your dad has (breaking and entering? I hope you're alright and stuff) And I'm really fortunate that he dosn't quite know where I am...ah, I love being adopted seems my birth"father" has finaly gone off to do whatever it is he does (be it join a boyband or the yakuza, or both). i'm glad to hear at least that your father has finaly been stopped as well. | Good to hear that he was arrested. I had similar problems with my dad and after a lot of rehab and stuff he now lives in his own flat where i see him every weekend. He's even now going to college at 45 doing some course on drug therapy, i know the situations are a little different but I hope you and he could possibly sort this out. | |||
