Search around for Lewis Black's "End of the Unviverse" skit, about 2 real Starbucks stores that are exactly across the street from eachother.

Good stuff. =O

Edit: Ah here we are.

Thank god Starbucks hasn't hit here (hard) ... we've got 4 that I know of (only one within 5 miles) so I'm not that worried... yet.

It'd be pretty funny to actually see two starbucks across the street from eachouther XD

We have 2 7-11's within walking distance (around 1/4 to 1/2 a mile) from eachother. Theyre even on the same freaking road...

And guess what is just down a few more streets from there? Yep, its a 7-11...

Wow... I just realized we had a lot of those

Yeah, there's some of those in my neighberhood. Well they're both in walking distance . Ours isn't on the same road though. I can only count a few Starbucks that I know of in this area but they're kinda far..but then they aren't so yeah.

Not really a store but near where I live there are a lot of gas stations clumped together... They're all owned by the same company, too...

Funny thing is, I don't see a Taco Bell at all in that picture. There's the beginnings of what looks like a banner for a convenience store, but other than that it's just other obscure buildings

I love you. =) The picture was probably taken from an angle from where the person taking the picture was on the side of it where the Taco Bell was.

I might be able to understand it if they were owned by different companies, but when they're the same, it makes you wonder what went through their heads when they made that decision

There's two Tim Hortons buildings within walking distance from our house. The only difference between the two is that one is pretty much a walk in, buy what you want, and walk out kind of place. There's 2 tables in there, and then the drive through as well The other one actually has a decent amount of tables, etc, and a drive through window as well. The bigger one's right across the street from the police station too

I'm pretty sure they're all Chevrons. Anyway. You said one of them "Then the drive through as well." What does that mean? It seems to be missing a few key words

If I understand what you're asking, just replace the 'then' with 'and'. The way I'm used to talking, the word 'then' can sometimes mean 'also' or 'and'. At any rate, hopefully you understand what I was trying to say

About 5 minutes away from our house, there's a 7-11. As with all the 7-11 stores, they sell small and cheap candies. Most go for 5 cents a piece. It's been a while since I've been there, but last time I bought some of those candies from that store, I carefully counted out $1 worth of them, and brought them up to the counter. I was told that there was taxes on the candies then. The thing that makes me wonder is why they charge taxes on cheap things like that. Of course, it's probably not something the store can control either

That still makes no sense, because why bother saying they both have drive throughs.

Also. There's no sales tax here in Oregon, so...
