I'd like to see somebody make a graphics hack of Tiny Toons 1. A SMB make over would work great. buster=Mario plucky=luigi furball=toad dizzy=princess ( be creative on the spin attack) and purple mouse guys=purple dinos from SMW I'd do it, bit I suck at hacking. period. SO, if anybody is bored or wants to brush up on tile hacking skills, have at it! |

Uh.. are you talking about importing the graphics from the already existing Tiny Toons games? Such as the one for super nintendo?

No, the other way around. Importing Mario graphics into the Tiny Toons game for the NES. I had the idea myself, but... you know. With the laziness? |

I seen a pirate was selling some tiny toons like that. where buster was replaced with mario. But plucky should of been luigi, but they never changed him. Its a good game, it would be pretty cool if it was marioized.

tile molestor? that's a new one to me. i'll give that one a shot maybe. I think one major thing that hinders me is that the tile editor's palletes cannot show the in game sprite color.

With the slightest bit of work, (um, create a NESticle save state) most tile editors can use the correct in-game palette.

wait, what? how. fceu is my favorite nes emu that shows the most accurrate color, plus i just dont like nesticle, but if i can edit using original color schemes, then I am all for it. Can tile layer pro do that too? EDIT: HOLY CRAP! I can understand the tile layout for SMB2, but tiny toons is a nightmare in comparison. It doesn't make sense. things are all in odd places. btw, couldn't get nesticle to open roms, so I went with tile layer pro. there doesn't seem to be an "original color" option. yeah sure I can tell it to be certain colors, but that does no good when it turns everything the same color scheme. Trust me on this, Nesticle is an important beginner hacking tool. Combined with Tile Layer Pro and some Hex editor you can make miracles! Maybe I'll try to do this hack myself (I'm somewhat of a bigginer too), I have that pirate Tiny Toon/Mario here somewhere... I truly beleive that even you could do so much better than that. Seriously those pirates are on crack sometimes! |

Originally posted by alitnil original color option.....XD buddy. you need to make a savestate from nesticle and import it as a pallet. or just find the colors you need, get the RBY value, and enter em in by hand. it wont take more than 5 or 10 minutes of your time, really. even if the colors arent really right, just use a freaking greyscale, you can at least see what the images are supposed to be. |

YY-CHR Set to view mode "FC/NES x16" works really really well for Tiny Toons. Take a look at that, and there will be no way you can complain about things being in confusing places.

I remember watching this cartoons back in 1991, funny ass cartoon. As for the hack you can find it on Google called Tiny Mario Adventures (Unl) [p1].nes, I'm not used to Mario stomping on rats, funny nontheless. I hope this'll help you start on the hack, good luck kiddo. (edited by Googie on 12-16-04 10:46 PM) |

Is it okay if I take the idea of a Tiny Toons Mario hack then? To tell the truth it would fit quite well and I have been needing something to entertain me, and what better then hacking NES games and learning how to discover new palettes and such to make a classic but hopefully quality NES graphics hack in the new age?

I say go for it, I was gonna look into it, but I'd rather play it than make it. I think if u change the graphics up a bit it would make a pretty good smb game.

HELL YEAH DUDE! go for it. I may dabble a little into it, but there is now way i'd ever creat a finished piece worthy of others to play.

I would love to see it done! Please Someguy, make that hack for us!!! I don't know if I am right, but I believe there is a Gorilla that throws barrels somewhere in the game. Would be sweet to see that boss with Donkey Kong GFX. |

yeah, and I'm guessin that you needn't change much of the background gfx as it looks pretty Mario-y already

I disagree.... The hack will have a big impact only if characters, backgrounds, cutscenes, etc were changed. Some stages aren't "Marioish".... Urban places and the Wackyland for example... |

I thought there were urban style levels in Super Mario Land 2. Also they were in Urban areas throughout the super mario movie. I agree with changing the enemies tho. (edited by iamhiro1112 on 12-19-04 10:39 AM) (edited by iamhiro1112 on 12-19-04 10:40 AM) |
