I had a marathon of sleep deprivation a few years ago that resulted in me being so tired I didn't know what I was doing.

It does have a rather... drug-like effect. I feel kinda floaty when I'm really sleep deprived, and I have little sense of what I'm doing, what is going on around me, etc.

It scares me to think that I've driven in that state. I drove to work and I drove home, even though I barely functioned at work and I'm sure spouted nonsense to people all day. I barely remember what I did. Then I went home at the end of it all, and I passed out. I don't remember passing out either, as it hadn't been my intention.... it just happened.

I was actually wrong saying I never slept in school. I did, once. Not under 'normal' conditions either. It was at the 30 hour famine. I finally got tired of surfing the net, so I turned off the computer, and laid down on the floor. It wasn't that great of a sleep, but I still did fall asleep

That's pretty much what I feel like. The question I find I ask myself most of the time that happens is "Am I really here?" It seems really surreal

You're lucky you were able to drive and go to work, Tarale If I was in your situation then, I'd ahve just called in and said I wasn't going to be there, and go to sleep for the day.

Dang Tarale I couldn't have been able to do that. It's just amazing that you didn't crash when you did that.

I'm tired every morning, hell I do badly in school in the morning. I usually catchup but still.

I'm quite nocturnal, so I like to stay up late in the nights...

I didn't crash... I don't remember crashing. I think I'd remember crashing... (I have no idea... I just know I managed to get home in one piece)

But yeah, I'd barely slept for a week. I'd stayed up till 3am every night and gotten up at 7am every day that week, and worked every day. Each day got weirder and weirder and I got more and more out of touch with reality.

The last day, I'd had an all nighter then gone to work.

As it was also my last day of work... to this day, I still don't know how much of an arse I made of myself.

Well, I'm pretty much always tired, especially in winter time. And yeah, I've noticed that I find it hard to concentrate on things, sometimes I might even forget what I just wanted to say, and just stand there like a dumbfuck.. umm.. uh... yeah..! Heh, and not to long ago, I dropped a plate on the floor, so that it broke... I didn't really feel that I dropped it, it just fell down on the floor..

And I think I've broke a cup this way too..

Oh, and sometimes, lately, I've noticed that my vision gets blurry.. I mean, it looks like everything is foggy.. although, it always reverts to normal after a while, anyway..

Heh, and I don't stay up late at night, or things like that, and I always TRY to get enough sleep. I think the problem might be that I spend to much time in front of a computer. :/

What I hate is when I'm exhausted and just want to go to sleep, but can't because I have too much on my mind...

I can never seem to vary my sleep schedule drastically from one day to the next like some people can...my dad, for instance, goes to bed at 9:00 PM if he has work the next day, and 1:00 AM if he doesn't.

I just read that lack of sleep can cause overweight, which I kinda belive could be true. Our body is quite active during the night. Besides there was something about the balance of hormones getting rubbed, so you would get more hungry.

At least, that's another reason why I should try to goto bed earlier.

Yeah Kitten Yiffer I don't think that's true for me. At least I'm not over weight maybe under but not over. Also, I'm not aways hungry.

I dunno. I don't get much sleep at night and I'm somewhat underweight... So yeah I don't think that's true.

I hate it when I'm all tired in the morning and go to bed at 12. I don't go to bed as late as some people have been staying up and doing their senior project. I never had an all nighter but the latest I stayed up was 4 or almost 5. On Christmas eve I stay up really late but other than that I've been going to bed at 3 on the weekends and wake up at around 10. I try to get 8 hours but it usually doesn't work out. I get somewhere around 6-7 hours.

I get hungry before going to bed too..and I ate a few hours before so I'm like okay..I'm hungry again but I don't eat..I don't want to get really fat . I did eat a lot like snacks..breakfast, lunch, after school "dinner" and then something else when my favorite shows would come on tv at night but I cut that down..a lot.

I always seem to get 8-1/2 to 9 hours of sleep eveyr night, like I'd go to bed at 11:00 and get up at 7:30 or something automatically. OF course, when I don't get all of those hours I get cranky in the morning.

It wears off by about 10:00 though.

The other night, I was talking to my girlfriend when I fell asleep, but apparantly, I kept on conversing. When I woke up, however, I blurted out, "When's your review session?", which made no sense at all. She was thoroughly confused for a second.

My boyfriend exclaims strange things in his sleep.

He's yelled at me not to warranty some hardware before. In his sleep. And when I went "huh?" he woke and went "what?"

He sat up in bed one night and just shouted "Not now, maybe later" once.

He talks about connections and hardware and stuff too.

Eh, as for tiredness, I feel like crap, I pulled an all nighter on the weekend, and have underslept the rest of this week so far.... ugh
