Along with six cats we also have one dog and three ferrets. The ferrets are sooo adorable even though Taz does live up to his name.

In that picture cookie looks like he's been stabbed/injured or something. Mainly because of the red streaks on the radiator.

Dark Vampriel - Thanks! Aren't littermates awesome?

MathOnNapkins - You're not the first person to make that observation. The red paint has been there since we moved into the house. BTW, Cookie is a she (maybe I should have clarified that earlier).

Aww, she's sleeping on the heater.

I have one, her name's Phoenix, and she pretty much sleeps all day. All my base are belong to her, apparently.

I LOVE CATS AND NOT IN AN Kitten Yiffer WAY
I have two of them. Rex is a manx, and he's sort and fat and never goes outside. Timber is like, his opposite. A tomcat I guess, and long and thing and is always wanting to go in and out of the house. I want a cat when I live on my own.
Ok, here's Rex

And I only have one pic of Timber. omg. I must take more.

I like cats and would like to have one. For some reason, we haven't got one, even though my dad likes cats as well. Maybe it's because my mom is a bit allergic to them, but still...

Stop posting cute pictures, otherwise want I get a cat too.

Yeah, I actually have none. But i know people who have cats, and most of the cats I meet are quite cuddly. (expect for Grandmothers now dead cat that only want to be pet on the head, pet her somewhere else and... she don't like that. )

Well, it's kinda hard when the other family members seem to prefer dogs. Thought my dad seem to like cats too in the family. He did grow up with 15 of them or something.

I could get a cat, but i'm worried about the local traffic here. Which can get harsh during the summer. Maybe I could get a indoor one or something... my dogs wouldn't be a problem thought since they're unusually flexible for being dogs.

YD: Eh, I like cats in the same way as you do.

I have a cat. She's not very friendly because she was a stray when I found her and she was probably treated badly. I've had many cats. There were four mainstays (had them for over a decade even two decades) and then there were a couple that I adopted for a month or a year until I could give them to a good home.

I'll be getting a dog too in a few months when I move to Gulfport.

Hehe...the tuxedo white pattern (a bib and socks) does look girly, doesn't it? Cookie got that from her mother. Some friends of ours have a big blue-gray cat who also has a bib and socks, which is amusing. (Well, his entire stomach isn't white - he basically has a bib, tighty whities, and suspenders. And he rolls over to show off the tighty whities and falls off the bed. )

We actually named Chester and Cookie before we found out what their genders were. (At 8 weeks, it was too early for us to tell because Chester didn't have any visible balls yet.) We just guessed and figured we could rename them or treat the names as unisex if we turned out to be wrong. (We once met a guy with the nickname Cookie, so it wouldn't have really been a stretch.) Turns out we guessed right...

As long as you have enough room in the house for the cat to run around in, enough places for them to climb and hide, and enough appropriate toys (scratching posts, stuff to bat around, etc.), they will be very happy indoors. Mine haven't known anything else, and they are very content and healthy as well. At their last checkup, the vet remarked that she couldn't remember the last time she'd seen cats at a proper weight. Feeding the best cat food you can find and afford helps the cat stay healthfully slim, too, because it has few empty calories (unlike the cheap stuff, which is full of useless fillers like ground yellow corn). (Incidentally, we can never smell the cat litter unless someone just dropped a deuce, which is another major bonus of feeding good food.) This excellent site explains how to choose cat food.

My dad has 11 and I have 2.

When I was growing up, we had a lot of cats and if they were all alive at the same time, we would have about 16 or so. The most that we had all at once, I think was either 6 or 7.

Rydain: Thanks for the tips, thought if ever got a cat. It would be in the spring/summer. I don't see myself getting one now.

Trapster, if you get more and more used to cats. You could have them when your grown up. And well, I never got any allergies. I think this is due to the fact I grown up with a big dog and that I had a quite messy room too. Overly clean enviroments can cause allergies.
