Perhaps I didn't read you or them right, but what's so scary about microwaving money? They didn't know it was gonna burn, they just knew it was gonna get rid of the tag. Though, it was pretty obvious it'd burn... Anyway. If it's damaged many banks will replace them, and it's not always with new bills. Thusly, you may be able to get tag-free money. Or, were you talking about placing the tags in them being harsh? It's difficult to tell =/ |

After reading that article, I often wonder if people are so paranoid that they don't realize that sometimes increased monitoring is a good thing. What if you leave some of your belongings in an area, and someone walks off with them. If it was captured on CCTV, I think you'd be pretty appreciative. | |||

what's the likelihood you're gonna know what the tracking number on your twenties is to get them replaced? It doesn't help out the individual, its just so that the government can track stolen money and corporations (if they have access to the information) can track who gets what money and where it gets spent. it's like a Safeway card... but now its in the money itself :-P more of a dog-tag for the cash telling everyone where that particular bill has been spent and whos hands it went into. A lot like those bills that are floating around with a web address on them where you go to the address and type your location so they can track where the bill has gone :-P I don't really see it affecting the individual positively or negatively. Tagged money only seems to affect theives so its harder for them to steal since it can be tracked (although now they know to microwave) |
