| We tend to be rather obsessive...zillions of lights outside, lights inside, all kinds of Christmas decorations everywhere. When we get the tree, we put so many houses under it, it's practically a whole city. | |||

I don't see how it could be a waste of time if you're willing to set it up  I might consider it a waste of effort, 'cause after Christmas, you're just going to take it down again  As far as it being a waste of material, what else would you use the lights, tree, and other decorations for?In short, I guess if you want to commit yourself to putting up all the decorations and stuff, then you're quite welcome to. Nobody except you can make that choice (I'm starting to sound like my Dad  ) |

| The material could well be used for other things, it didn' t necessarily have to be made in to a one-time-only item, is what I mean. You could be doing more efficient things in the same time. I didn't mention it last time but it's also a waste of money. | |||

| I can agree with the waste of money part. It'd take quite a tidy sum to pay for the hydro bill you'd get after Christmas, with all those lights set up But, if you're quite ready to pay that much, there's not alot anyone can do to stop you. As far as what you said about the material being used for other things, we've only had one Christmas where we've bought something that needed to be thrown out after (the tree). Everything else we have is artifical stuff, that only gets used at Christmas time anyways. What remains to be seen is what sort of things Banedon uses. |

| Uhh.. we have these bushes out in front that we cover with sheet lighting... and then we put up this little mini village of houses inside over our fireplace... Its not a lot really Its enough to say "Yes, we decorate, no we are not obsessed" |

| Never celebrated like this in four years... The time before I became miserable we did this: A regulaur 6' plastic tree, some tree-shaped ornaments and glittery bulbs, three kinds of beads, three kinds of furry/shiny rope stuff, some old and new cards, a few miscellaneous ornaments, three kinds of candy canes, two lines of lights, and a star on top. We'd always open the living room curtains to show off our tree to any who drove by. The last three years have been hell, only because my parents were going through a wierd divorce phase and I was still a minor. It's a terrible story I'd rather not discuss.
