How much of a big deal you guys make on Christmas decorations? In other words, how far do you go when it comes to Christmas decorations? I don't make that big of a deal. My grandmother will probably get a tree and we'll decorate a little bit, but other than that, I probably won't do much else. I like seeing what other people put up though. I've seen some amazing light arrangements.

Few strings of blinking lights, a tree, and some decorations. I'd love to have one of those huge light displays (I <3 little blinking lights ) but they're expensive and difficult to set up. Some outside force always breaks the strings when they're in storage too. (Tangles up wires too! Little bugger.)

There's a guy down the road who puts up all sorts of them. You can see his house glowing and changing colour from a mile away.

The only decorations we have are on our tree.

That's it.

We have one like that across the street. We don't even have a tree this year because everyone in the family are floored with work and we're too lazy to bring it down during the weekend.

We have a tree, and one of our trees outside is lighted up.

One guy up the street has a little too much holiday spirit, as he has about a trillion lawn ornaments.

There's a house that's a fair distance from ours that decorates to no end for most holidays. They've recently put their stuff up, but still, their house is so bright with all the lights on it, you could use it as a landmark for visiting relatives or something I have to wonder what their hydro bill gets like around then

We still haven't put up decorations here (at our house). I assume they're going up sometime after the 13th. I had to put up a Christmas tree today at volunteering, so it's obvious they're getting the stuff done as soon as they can

Our decorations usually consist of the following:

:: A Christmas tree (obviously), decorated and all
:: Strings of shiny bead things that we hang over the fireplace
:: Strings of those icicle lights around the eavestrough on the porch
:: A bunch of various small figurines that get randomly placed around the house

I'm not putting decorations this year. It seems too much of a hassle to do it this year.

My house will remain empty inside and deserted on the inside.

None are up yet but we've been doing some renovating work around the house so some stuff's a bit messy.

I would assume that the lights will go up this weekend sometime... and the tree will follow next weekend, depending on the state of the house. Add a few little trinkets around the house and there ya go.

None this year in my house, thank god.

We're going to have a very auster and religious Christmas celebration. AKA, Christmas eve mass and Christmas day mass.

There is also going to be a political edge to it, as my parents and I have decided that we're going to give gifts that benefit the local hemp industry. All clothes, food, toys and cosmetics we give out are going to be made of hemp. All the music we buy is going to be from independant labels. Every thing has to be union made. We're buying from local retailers even if it costs 5 bucks more. That thing.

It's basically just, get a tree, put many-years-old stuff on the tree, never actually have presents under it because of the whole pine needles in presents thing. Nothing on the roof, the roof is conductive and it'd electrocute you if you tried (or so the legend goes) and no one would be able to see it anyway since it's in the middle of a forest...

How very festive.

I'm thinking of going all National Lampoon so the neighborhood can turn into a radioactive wasteland.

Actually just a wreath on the door is all I've got. I might get a little tree like in the Charlie Brown Christmas special, but I'll be sad when I have to get rid of it.

I just moved in with my brother; I really don't know what his Christmas decorating plans are, though I believe a tree has been mentioned. Personally, I have a few strings of multi-colored (REALLY should've gone with plain white) lights around the ceiling of my room, though those are going to stay up year-round. There's always room for Christmas spirit!

Hah, in Sweden people think that they cover their houses in US with lights.

Anyway, we decorate moderatly at home and at a steady pace. Already started with the basic things, but it's gonna increase before Christmas eve. The tree is one of the last things we get.

Well, we always have the christmas tree, and several other decorations around the house. Stuff like small santa's here and there, new pillows for the sofas, christmas chains and etc.

Oh, and my room has now had it's christmas decorations up for two years straight now, because I've just been to lazy to take them down, and stuff them away.

My parents usually decorate most of the house with some. We always use the almost the same decorations. We need more of those little ball things and stuff that you put on the tree. Ours are kinda old. I like the decorations that we put it. IT gives off a good vibe I would decorate my room but eh, other parts of the house are good enough. We usually put them up after this next week maybe.

I love Christmas decorations, I look forward to this time of year. My family has a lot of decorations, but mostly indoor stuff. We have like, tons of misc. stuff that gets put all around the house, holiday potpourri, and the christmas tree with lights and plenty of ornaments. Outside, Ive got lights all around my house, but nothing over the top.
So far, the lights outside are the only thing done as of right now. Everything else will probably get finished over the weekend.

I used to have lights up in my room, but for some reason they dont work anymore and I had to take them down. They were spiffy, I was rather disappointed.

Well, theres a brand new tree with brand new decos out in the hall, waiting to be put & with a 7 year old sister in the house, I'd assume she'll be nagging us to put it next week!

Apart from that, theres not really much indoor hang up decos, but we do have a few candles and music ornmants and such, along with a dancing & singing santa we recently won in a raffle.....

There how my parents celebrate it, just wait until I have my own family......
