Has anyone heard about the new DS game, Jam With The Band? It looks really interesting.

Check out this video of people playing it.

The official site for it is below. Play some Mario music by clicking on the purple hue of japanese text on the front page. It's fun!

No, Metroid Prime: Hunters isn't a demo, but it's not out yet. A demo of it, titled "first hunt" comes with the system.

I seriously doupt that ... I've seen in maybe 3 of my newest gaming magazines (Gamepro, EGM, GI) the game is scheduled for a late Janurary / early February release.

Like Davis said, a demo of MP: Hunters comes with the system, more than likely you just saw an ad for the game.

Edit: Also I've been meaning to ask, does the DS have some sort of a sleep function like the GBA?

Yes it does, DS have a sleep function.

I didn't use it much on the GBA thought, I turned mine off whenever I would do something for 15 minutets or so.

Some are already hard at work reverse engenering the DS.

It appears that the cart is encrypted, but there is already some leaked docs available regarding the filesystem, memory map and I/O. Someone has already got the DS to think that there is another DS with a multiboot game nearby.

I work at Wal-Mart(home of everyday low pay), so I have had a chance to try the DS(when off the clock, of course) with the Metroid Prime: Hunters demo, but I have not been able to try the builtin software. Along with my previous paycheck, I got a coupon for an extra 10% discount(in addition to the the 10% I get with my discount card) on one item. I could get a DS, or I could get a high definition TV.

Ok!

The PSP introduces some nice new element, loading times. Here are some loading times of games that will be released with the launch...

Nice, we probably even see devolopmen for DS quite early in it's lifetime. o.o

Loading times, last time I remember having loading times was on a playstation. I can't stand loading times on consoles.

I could see the PSP fall becuse of the loading times.

Does it seriously have that?

Ugh. Loading times on a handheld completely defeat the purpose.

Ok. I've been hearing rumors blah blah blah about the ds. I still dont know what the ds download thingy mabob feature on it does.

My friend said it is so like, if your friend has a game that you dont, u can download it so u can play multiplayer. After hearing this, I have been thinking.
Do you think that it is possible in the near future that someone will make a "hard drive" for the ds so we can actually keep the games we download? I don't know if anyone has stated this idea already...

You don't download the full game, just that which is required for multiplayer. Also, not all games support this feature. Really, it's pretty well the same as the single-cart multiplayer with GBA games, just without cables.

And it'll depend on the game - some might transfer enough info for a full-fledged online game, others will only do so much for a stripped-down version.

I have the over/under for the first DS emulator to be released at February 15.

I read that you only need one cartridge to play the game on four DS:s.

Is that what Itachi is talking about?
