okay, problems. As usual, i'll name my steps.

1. Turn the game on (duh)
2. Either play Normal Mode or Monkey Target.
3. After ten minutes of playing or so, either the game freezes, the graphics get glitched, or the screen goes black, with the game still running.

What am I doing wrong?

Check the laser for dust (DON'T TOUCH IT!)

Check the disc for scratchers.

It may get damaged... It may get dirt on it, screwing it up... A variety of things.

Oils from the skin may get on the lense and burn it, much like a hallogen bulb. but why? hell if I know, i always thought the science behind that never made much sense.

This sounds similar to an incident that my friend had. It probably is a problem with the lens (my friend's was actually cracked). If you can't find the problem, it's probably best to return the GCN.
