Hey! I made a cool game! It's called "I poisoned half the food, so if you eat you might die!" Have a taco.

Banedon, a lot of them DO, the problem is that these same ones seek money in alternative ways, IE huge ads and spyware.

Think about it... They are'nt just advertising false rom sites, they have the porn ads too. I think it has to do with the information being sent from your computer to an advertising company. They automatically upload things such as cookies onto your system and watch what you do. Whatever site you go to, they'll give you ads about them, hoping to draw more attention back to them. I've been through the same crap before, and they keep looping me over and over until I feel an anurism coming on. It just hurts your computer more and more, so it's best to just X out of the site once it asks you. Just one of those things I look back on to have a good cry.

Y'know... It really sounds like you need to get a good spyware detector and a virus scanner. Then you wouldn't have these problems =/

I was just setting an example. I have Adaware and Spybot but they still fail to reach the deep crevices the cookies dig into. The fine print says they are guarunteed to only get 20% of all spyware on your comp, but it's still much better than anything else available.

Anyways, back to the looping problem... I found out not too long ago, you can find some forums that will allow Rom Requests. Just search for forums and Rom Requests. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to lend you a hand.

Funny how I Never had any spywares from going on rom sites. Maybe because I don't use IE and scan my computer every day.

And have any of you noticed that on most rom sites, people write: "If you are employed by the government, do not enter". Like it's going to stop them.

The internet governs itself. The U.S Gvernment, the CIA, the International Intelligence cannot really do anything about the problems online. They are far too minor for any of them to care, but there may be some cracking down much later.

That's one of the reasons I find it funny when people write it.

Or they'll mention some Online Privacy/Protection/whatever Act signed by Bill Clinton, or say you can legally keep the ROMs for 24 hours (both of which are total bull). Fact of the matter is, the only legal ROM site you'd ever see would be one that's sponsored, or owned and maintained, by a console manufacturer.

Erm...what about sites that only have public-domain ROMs and not commercial ones? Wouldn't those be considered legal ROM sites as well?

It sounds to me like he needs a better ROM site.
