I have the "Super MArio RPG editor" and when I try to load a savestate, it only excepts Snes9x savestates (*.00*)

Now I have ZSNES Emulator, and when I do a savestate it saves the file as SRM

Is there a way to save the file as a Snes9x savestates (*.00*)

sorry if this was unclear

The SRM file is the saved game file, not the saved state file. The zsnes savestate file will have an extension similar to '.zst'
The SRM should be useable in both emulators.
I haven't seen any 'Savestate Conversion' software tools, but If I come across any, I'll provide you with a link.

Maybe this page will help?

Download the Zip file I have uploaded for you. It contains all the publicly released data for SMRPG.

SNES9X can read ZSNES save states. You can always load your ZST into SNES9X and immediately make a new savestate to use with the tool, but there's no way to convert it back to ZST.

(It's actually easier to work with ZSTs, since they're uncompressed...I wish more tools supported both formats.)

I never understood the logic of compressing save states. They barely take up any space, so the space saved is negligable. And if the emulator makers wanted to prevent cheating, they wouldn't have 10 million different methods of cheating built into the program.

Ah well, I guess it's something we have to live with. But yes, the easiest way to convert is to load the zst in snes9x then re-save it.
