| Wouldnt that be awesome if they made that? I would squeal like a fanboy at some Linkin Park concert or something (LINKIN PARK IS A ROLLER COASTER). Anyways: If they made a CTDS, what would you like to see in it? What would you like to see the screens used for? Would you like things to be added, or would you like it to be as close to the original as possible? Or would you like to have it a complete remix? Myself, I dont think they should do a complete remix, but some added sidequests near the end of the game would be pretty awesome. .^^ More cutscenes and less loading time would be pretty cool too. |

| The only new additions that would be cool would maybe be the unlockables like the galleries in the FF: Chronicles port of CT. This would definently be something to buy a DS for, but I'd rather see a Seiken Densetsu 3 port.  (They're freaking finally porting FF3j, why not SD3?) Well, this doesn't mean anything, but I found this in a search for 'chrono trigger ds' on google. That doesn't mean there will be this sort of game, but on the other hand, it doesn't mean that there won't be either  A quote from the page: Square Enix issued an expected "no comment" on the subject, but we've heard rumblings about the future of the Chrono franchise. A few years back, Square registered a trademark for "Chrono Break," but so far, nothing has came of this project. Also, Square recently surveyed Japanese players, asking if they'd like to see a remake of Chrono Trigger for the Nintendo DS. If you're in serious need of a Chrono fix, though, check out Namco's Baten Kaitos for Gamecube: It's the work of the director and scenario writer of Chrono Cross, and the similarities are all too obvious." |

Square enix is making something for the DS, that's what's sure. That they made a survey about it hints that they may have one in the making. But well, I would rather see a whole new game.  Well, we maybe find out soon enough what they're working on. Maybe with the next E3 at least... I did find Chrono trigger good, but I wouldn't call it the best RPG in the world. |

| Well, with Temporal Flux released in the rom hacking forum, and the possiblity of a SNES emulator for the DS (It's more than possible for perfect snes emulation, the GBA came close), the idea of Chrono Trigger, or any of the hacks being on it is totally possible in the future. I just played the DS for the first time today, and it has to be the coolest thing ever! The idea of playing an SNES, NES, Gameboy, etc game on it would just make me...EXPLODE with happiness... Besides, Square seems to be warming up to Nintendo here lately, so an actual CT type game for the DS isn't all that far fetched. Like I said though, if not, then emulation may just be the answer. |
