Not only was that stolen from Ctrl Alt Del, you forgot the REASONABLE answer; that is, saying exactly what they did. The guy gets far more shame from this than otherwise but also knows that it's his fault and that you're not blatantly insulting him (even though by saying that you are.) so he won't stop going there.

You lose again.

Except for the fact that eery reasonable computer technician knows that IO stands for input output, and that means the other guy will ask you a bunch of questions about the wrong problem.

ID ten T errors are better. Or PEBKAC.

If he doesn't know he's being insulted, it's pretty stupid.

Speaking of which, who needs to take a CLASS on computers? Waste of time if you ask me. The internet is a much better resource, and costs a lot less.

Think about it.

Then he starts looking at the I/O ports to see what's wrong with them. If you call it an I-D-Ten-T error he'll know exactly what the problem is.

Uh huh. I fail to see how it being a high school course makes it less of a waste of time. You could spend the same time on something you can't (easily) learn online, such as a second or third language.

Computer courses make for nice classes to relax in, though.

For example, I take AP Computer Science. We learn Java. For those who aren't in the know: Java is bloody easy. 'Tis very relaxing to have such a class after something tough like AP English Language and Composition.

Anyway, I still say PEBKAC.

Kratos: When you get to university and can grab 3 credits with a babyish online computer course, THEN it's useful.

Actually, it sorta is, because if you want to take the aforementioned later, you'll have to pay for a course instead of it being provided as part of your schooling.

The fact that computer courses are so easy is the whole point. You get credits for practically no work.

Yeah it doesn't work on the new versions.
