I ripped and coloured the SML2 sprite with the SMB3 Mario colours and am having palette problems. I change the palette (mario's) on a level that has custom palette enabled, but when I play the level, it doesn't change:

The head isn't on because I can't seem to replace the correct one, but the body is there.

This is what he is supposed to look like. Is it because I have custom palette enabled?

Also, how would I change the palettes for star, and flower mario?

And, is it possible to use a different head for cape mario instead of having a cape? I have the mario with bunny ears. And I have the fire mario with the feather on his head. So would remapping mario be hard?

1. You can't change Mario's palette with a custom palette, except for the first few colors.

2. Star Mario is just mario cycling through the colors.

3. Change it when custom palette is disabled and it'll work fine, just remember to save the RGB values to the ROM.
