| Sofie: I see what has happened with Netherlands and Belgium. I didn't make the map, so I didn't notice, but since you and Coby is from Belgium, it's ok as it is. Of course, I know that Canada is in the developed world  Colleen: Ireland is not a part of the U.K., if that's what you thought, but either way, Ed is from Ireland  I didn't actually remember Cyrus, but yes, he is from Malaysia... And Oddgoo is from Mexico But I couldn't find anyone from Austria, Argentina, Romania, and Iceland. If there are some, they haven't written it somewhere, or the may be from the old board. Board members from countries asked: Ireland - Ed New Zealand - Koga I forgot: Mexico - Oddgoo Malaysia - Cyrus It would have been cool with people's whereabouts in the biggest countries. On the other hand, that's much work. And my goal when I created this was to find out which countries were represented on the board. I will update the map and the information later... |

| It might be good if we could get the data for all locations for active users in the last month with more than 4 posts, just a query from the db, that a few people could work on producing a proper map, with different colours on the map representing different user numbers. | |||

| yeah, that would be pretty cool, what else would be cool, what if the location box, when registering, was changed to a drop down box, and when people signup, they pick one, and there is a php page, that has a map, andautomatically draws a dot somewhere on the country they chose, and then anyone can look at the map at anytime..only problem I see with that, is someone finding time to make it, and people putting a false location... | |||

| Hmm... Im on a board with people from Hong Kong (no surprise then) and Algeria. The Algerian says that he's one of only a few people he knows locally that has the Internet, and buying games is hard because Algeria gets games from Italy a few months after their usual release date, so you can assume that a gaming-based message board would not attract too many Algerians who lack in games. | I updated and tried to create a map based on the user numbers... Since I don't know where everybody comes from, it may be a bit inaccurate, but it shows the most important areas. And Greenland vanished (!) for some reasons, actually, that map is kinda off someplaces. The United States and Canada have most members of course. U.K. also has many, I'm just not sure how many, so that country may be wrong. The other ones should be ok. *-The unknown countries (blue) are countries we aren't sure about yet, because some people say that we have members from there, others say no. They are at least countries which should have members here, since they are "developed", and located in the "Western world" (or whatever it's called in English). Of course I remember Ireland! I may go there next year's summer holiday Yeah, must be tough being a gamer in Africa at all (except South Africa). Admires Sex and Dcahrakos' ideas are really good. I thought about something like that too. However, this would require a lot of work. Not from me, because I'm not familiar with coding and such at all... And finally: Thanks for the comments from all of you!  |

| I'd love for a map accenturating numbers of members relative to total population of country. I think either Sweden, Norway or some smaller country with a handful of people would come out on top. Sepho: The idea's not feasible. The guy can barely break out the exact country. Give him a break. |

| Nice map and I'm actually surpised how little nationalities there are here. I always thought there were more since I'm use to 1,000 member forums to have at least 4+ "eastern world" nationalities. You colored in Sakhalin island on the map which is a part of Russia. |

I prefer the colored map actually. You see them all the time in atlases and the like anyways.  It's a nice way to just look at a glance and see where the user population is distributed. But I like Jesper's idea. |

I think Norway and Sweden are pretty the same when it comes to the number of members, but the Swedish members are honestly more active. |
