This site is amazing. You download a plug in for your mediaplayer. It supports a slew of players: Winamp 2, Winamp 5, Windows Media Player, and alot others. Then, you sign up on the site. Go to your plug in options, and enter your site user and password. Now, listen to music. As you do, for every song that plays at least 50% through gets added to your list and is sent to the site. As you listen to more and more music, it starts cataloging your tastes. Soon, youll get stats that say what your favorite artists are. Each time a song is shown ont eh site, its a clickable link. You click that link, and itll tell you everyone that has listened to that song. then, on taht page, you can click on the artist, and see who the top fans of that artist are, and who all has listened to the song. When you're on another person's profile, you can open this radio player that will start playing songs that they've got in their lists! The site overall needs some work. Its sort of bulky and hard to navigate alot of the time, but its still cool. Personally, I think they need to add more of a sense of community. But still, I reccomend you check it out. its pretty neat. for now, at least. the link: AudioScrobbler.com PS: Add me to your friends list (theres a +f button in the top left corner) My profile: audioscrobbler.com/user/Garmichael |
