Just the fact that it's open source makes me hate it even more. =o

I'd like to see pages designed for whatever the fucking browser I use is, not a certain browser.

"Designed with XXXXXX in mind" / "Designed for ?" "Optimized for ?" is remarkably stupid and any page with it on loses 10 points instantly.

So what if IE is shitty, it's still used by over 75% of the Internet population and that will never change as long as M$ continues shipping it with IE preinstalled and integrated.

(note: I myself am using IE, and I haven't had any problems with it because I'm not a fucking retard who opens every email he gets and visits pages known to install things)

(note: I also use Opera on occasions (read: when I have a better computer) and will casually talk about it when browsers are the subject, but I don't post links everywhere and new threads and images and other bullshit when dealing with other subjects (see Leg's post on Firefox in the catgirls thread)

I just figured you should know this before saying "omg, you shud try other browzer you liek it more lololol," because I already have)

well quite simply.... this thread was posted in General.. so people who use firefox but don't read the hardware / software forum would know about it....

obvioulsy I don't read the hardware / software forum myself, or I would have seen Tarale's thread.....

if you don't like it... then you should probably stop fucking bumping it... so it will drop off the page sooner....

so good job.... go ahead and bump it again XK.... by all means... please.....

Then mabye you should consider doing what a mod would do to this thread if it was created by any other member and trash it and post the info in the other thread. Or are you too good for that? Are you exempt from the rules?

Also, you (as an admin) and anyone else should probably check the H/S forum at least once a week to see if there were updates-- and ESPECIALLY if you're posting a thread about it, since it's obviously huge news that someone was bound to have posted.

Logic says that given the subject, people will still post in this for a while. Not only that but when it's one of the top three threads that'd be pretty useless, thanks.

Or I could just close the thread before it degenerates any further. Then we kill two birds with one stone.

Just to clarify on the "designing FOR Firefox/Mozilla/Konqueror/Safari" thing, I didn't actually mean SPECIFICALLY FOR, I just meant more in the sense of "not catering to proprietary IE code that no other browser supports.

Just because the majority of Windows users use IE, doesn't mean that all the Linux, Solaris, OS/2, OS X, Mac Classic, Unix, whatever users can or do.... yet those users get cut out of a large proportion of the web due to nonstandard IE code.

That's more what I meant. I don't design specifically for any particular browser. I test primarily in Firefox, but if I'm doing something properly, I test in IE, Firefox, Opera and Safari And hope that it doesn't break in IE

Just to trying to clarify.

And yes, I know that not everybody likes the alternative browsers. And that's okay, cause I get to charge those people for "PC repairs" frequently (yes, people still are willing to pay me to sit around and run ad-aware.) Source of Additional Income = Good.

In November about 38% of the traffic on my webserver has been Mozilla....

In October it was about 35% of the traffic on my webserver....

so Mozilla is heavily used...

... as pointed out to me... since this is actually a duplicate thread, it shoudl be closed.... and the orignial thread referenced.... I think all the trolling being done regarding the Browser itself overshadowed that fact which is why I didn't close the thread in the first place...... Original FireFox Thread

bai bai
