| Try this (for the X Speed). Here's what I found In ROM: $8094 is the X Speed for going Left, $8095 for going right. Basically it takes Mario's direction from $76 and goes to $8094+direction. Fireball shoot code is around $80C9. $FEB6 (SNES format) is the sound effect #, 2 and 3 bytes ahead of that are the address to put it in (byteswapped).
