So here I was rolling up my joint when suddenly I got a new e-mail, I opened it and saw a new icon in the tray, I looked and it was Ezula :o I immediately opened Ad-aware and this is the result:
Result!
I got that after TWO MINUTES on Hotmail using IE. TWO MINUTES! Even less probably! (Yeah, msn still opens IE for e-mails :o)

P.S. It wasn't a spam mail, it was a mail from ebay :o

One of the thousands of reasons WHY java script + IE don't mix.. (I've had 1 adware problem with firefox, only a leak through somehow. with javascript off)

[edit]I wonder if ad-aware can scan 56,517 "items" in 12 seconds. Memory, regestry, files, folders, etc.

You know what? I told IE to ask me whenever there is a Active-x script on the page. Sure it's annoying whenever it asks but since I really don't use IE that much so...

I hadn't got spyware in months now, not even tracking cookies. I blocked the addresses where the tracking cookies come from.

Spybot is my choiche of Spyware scanner, but I also have adaware installed. Just in case.

And if anything, I would advise anyone to Install SP2, if not... at least uinstall Microsoft's java machine. (it sucks, it's not supported by Microsoft anymore and isn't secure)

You know... using IE as much as I do... I think I know what your problem really was.

Hotmail sucks as much as or more than IE.

No, seriously. When my stepfather used his Hotmail address, we got unbelievable amounts of spyware. Same when I used mine. In other words, while IE might suck, your problem is probably Hotmail.

a mail from ebay...were you even expecting an email from ebay? so yeah, it seems to be more of your lack of judgement than IEs fault...

but anyways, hotmail works for me since it has a web interface--makes it less vulnerable to email viruses. hey, you were using the web interface to access Hotmail right and not using Outlook Express?

Not if your browser can install stuff by being pointed at the wrong goddamn JPG picture.

Outlook (Express) are using the exact same rendering engine; Outlook is probably the safer choice when compared to pre-SP2 IE because it has reasonable safe-guards built in!

Or he could get mozilla and only need active x stuff when it wasn't working. Aka (trying not to use the acronym "i.e."), when he wants to run windows update.

There shouldn't be any difference in scanning between SE and Pro anyways. Yes, Pro has more options... but last I checked, it shouldn't find a bunch of stuff that SE won't pick up.

That would be a scam.

Well, actually when I went to download Ad-Aware off the site, the speeds were horrible, so I went to my p2p client, though everyone there was only sharing pro.

With the crack of course .

MSN? Do you mean MSN Messenger? Or something else. If you mean the messenger, then use something like Trillian, GAIM or Miranda IM instead

If you mean MSN as in an ISP, er.... EEEEEVVVVIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLL.

I use the regular MSN becuse I use things that GAIM/Trillian is not supporting.

The only thing in MSN so far that uses IE is the banner, chat log and the "news thing" which pop-ups (which you can shut off anyway).
