I doubt the people that turned out to be extrodinary artists jacked up several hundred of dollars on Photoshop because of a fling. Without the ability to get software free, I doubt most people would be able to develop a good skill, unless they are rich as heck. It would be reserved to company employees who would make animated bevel and emboss buttons for the whole world.

I used to crack every programs I came across (and that I wanted), but since I've installed WinXP, I decided to keep it clean.

The only cracked thing I currently have is....well....WinXP. Not because I installed it from a burned CD or anything, but because my friend gave me his CD after it messed up his computer and he switched back to WinME. Since Microsoft are idiots, my SERIAL didn't work.

I dare you to find anything that isnt cracked on my pc(except my ftp client...was too lazy lol and I dont use it much anyway).....but thats only because : either its too expensive, and I really want it lol...or I have the money, but you need a credit card to buy it, which I dont have...I always buy games though, except for the old ones which would never be almost impossible to find in a store.

I'm guilty as heck! Most of my apps, apart from freeware, are cracked or underground downloads.....

I'm big into dance / trance music but living in this modern Hip - Hop / RnB / Rap infested World is a BIT of a problem!

We get barely any such music mainstream released here anymore ( and if we do, its unbeliveable crap that somehow manages to be a hit, anyone here hear of Eric Pardz? ) , so I have to resort to downloading it off polish sites! ( Thanks, guys! )

Also, the lack of a credit card is a problem as well!

Oh, I think we're ALL guilty of MP3 theft. Might as well arrest half of North America if you're going to crack down on that.

Luckily, there's a FEW things that you can't pirate... like online games. (Sure, you could download Final Fantasy XI... but where's that going to get you in the end without the CD keys?)

I crack everything, though I know it's "wrong". The only thing I never cracked was WinRAR. Just never got around to it, I guess.

Exactly! Why should I pay good money for something I'm only ever gonna use once? Say you don't have a car or a license, but need to get somewhere far away, and rather than paying a huge amount for a dirty stinky bus, you have a friend who's willing to drive you there. Do you go out and buy a car? (Ignoring the fact that it'd be way more expensive than the bus. ) No, you rent one. Same idea. But if I can't rent it, then I'll just help myself.
You're right on about the trial limits too. Ever tried Ulead GIF Animatior? Yuck! The goddamn Undo button is even disabled! How the hell am I supposed to evaluate a program that doesn't do anything?

Sure, I got hundreds. Gotta love how that's legal in Canada.

BTW, you don't need a crack for WinRAR. Just click the X in the 'trial expired' dialog. But it's nice to not have that pop up all the time.
Reminds me of when I got a trial for SoundEdit Pro... It said it was a 30-day trial, but on the starup screen, it said a 15-day trial for AudioConvert. Still the right program, though... Too lazy to edit the dialog? (Of course, it never got to 15 days. )

[edit] Oh, here's a good one. 25 bucks for a program that takes screenshots. I DON'T THINK SO. (Not even gonna download that. I can make my own. )
