Lots of my friends smoke too, but most ppl my
age who smoke only do it because it is
supossedly "cool" I dont smoke casue I know
the serious effects it does on the body.

Yeah, I used to think like that, too. It perplexed me why smokers didnt quit, evne though a bunch of them want to. I figured, if people really want to quit, they would.

In January 2004, I decided to find out. I started smoking. I smoked for about a month off and on untill i became hooked. It took me a while to get hooked and actually crave a ciggarette. Since them to a couple months ago, I've been smoking steadily. about a pack every four days. Now, its a pack every other day. Tahts 5$ for 2 days. Its getting expensive.
Ive been studying my reactions with the addiction, and picking up on the subtleties of WHY i decide to smoke.
Ive decided today that Im going to start quitting. Theres alot about the quiting process I want to figure out, so i dont know how long that step will take.

My goal is to throuroughly understand the addiction of ciggarettes. Im doing it for a number of reasons. for one, Im curious. two, If by some unfortunate turn in my life, I get addicted to something else, Ill be able to fight it and save myself. and finially, since most of my discussions with smokers are about hwo they want to quit, Ill now be able to give some helpfull advise on what to do.



Also, as a smoker, I would not want to try smokeless ciggarettes. Part of the adiction is the action of breathing in smoke, and breating it back out.

Hell if there were no smoke involved, i wouldnt be a smoker. (Besides the obvious logic...)

I smoke a lot. It's a social thing, not something I do on my own. It helps you open up to people, I found.

That doesn't mean you should start...

Now, I seriously think that type of "electric smoking" device should be easily usable for drugs other than nicotine; I can think of a whole list of other drugs to use with it, preferably all at once. (Although using them all at once would probably make your head explode...)
