I've got a minor problem with my Acmlmboard. It seems that my Admin account (id=1) can't edit it's profile, while any other accouts can. Anyone got an idea of what the problem can be? I still got edituser.php so it's not that much of a problem, but's still annoying.

Edit: Could it have to do with me adding 2 other additional sex choices, but only in edituser.php and that when I use edit profile it messes something up?

obviously,

if you have a sex set that isn't on editprofile, you can't edit your profile unless you pick one of the sexes available to editprofile

furthermore, you should buy hosting from me, instead of whatever broke ass hosting you are using

Let's see here. It's always moronic to not setup a public website for whatever internal project you might have.

No wait a minute. That doesn't make sense. His local web site IS live. I frequently do stuff that I won't have to move outside of my computer at all; sometimes it's local apps, sometimes it's fiddling with/reviewing/dissecting code. Noone is going to run out and buy hosting for something that they won't need hosting for.

Stop advertising every chance you get. You get a button at the bottom of the page - if people are interested, they know where to look.

This, and you can't beat the speed of developping on your local server.

Sure you can,

My server is a Quad 2.8 Ghz with 2 Gigs of ram...

somehow I doubt whatever craptastic server you are developing on is faster than that.....

I guarantee that page generation times are faster here than whatever your server spits out

But you still have to wait for the info to go accross the net... while on a local server... it takes barely any wait time...

Right, but then on a local server, you get easy access to all the files and even the database, you don't even need to upload, and it'll even work without an Internet connection (good if you have dialup, or an unstable connection that goes down at times ) ... that's mostly why I also had my test board on my local server

So it's not a factor for anyone else =D

I'll probably do a bit of personal server stuff as soon as I get my Gamecube set up (or a used one). The idea intrigues me.

I better get an broadband adapter and a copy of phantasy star. :/

...hey good luck doing an Html server with PHP and Mysql on a gamecube. (honestly I would love to do that once)

Yes I have a local server, testing purposes. And I always wanted to put up a own server, which is actually very easy. Especially if you have someone experince too talk to.

My server is a old computer and it's not made to use as a server. Acmlmboard takes seconds to load a single page. It's lack of RAM, good HD and CPU power (but not bandwidth) that hinder that server. :/

If I was going for something serious, I would go and take a serious webhost. But I don't have anything to publish... for now.
