I have a smart comp. And a smart phone, too. I'm also looking forward to feeling like I'm getting an extra hour of sleep in the next few days.

Er, no...you'd be an hour early (you'd think it's 3:00, when it's actually only 2:00).

Who else thinks this whole Daylight Saving thing is archaic nonsense? I know the story behind it, and why some people think it's still useful, but it still seems fairly pointless to me. Props to Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, most of the Eastern Time Zone portion of the State of Indiana, and the state of Arizona for deciding not to observe this annoying ritual.

My main alarm clock does that automatically for me, since it is radio controlled
But since I have three alarm clocks (if the first one fails, the to other ones need to do the job ) and only a watch plus a cell phone, it is not too much work to do that

So we got our lost hour back when I set the clock to CEST in the first half of this year.

My clock in my room is following the old time.

It startled me yesterday, I swear that I did go back in time. Then I realised that the jump from 3 AM to 2 AM was daylight saving time.

Mine did, but it set it back two hours. Not so smart. After telling it to check with the time server again, it did.

Even though I told myself to set my alarm clock back, I woke up at "8:40," only to turn on my monitor and find it's really only 7:40.

I have a smart comp, but a really dumb alarm clock. It doesn't like displaying what radio station is on.

Ha i love not having to worry about that. I live Eastern Standard Time all my life here in ND IN. So i guess i didn't gain or lose any sleep, and nothing is earlier or later, except for TV shows, cause those are going to start an hour later than usual. Gotta make sure I don't miss any football games next week.

I remembered adjusting the clock for daylight savings, I realized it when my PC auto adjusted my system clock and I thought something went crazy when I saw 1:** am again, until I came to realize it was daylight savings.

I also live in the EST by the way.

Aye, all my California roomates looked at me oddly (sort of like this - ) when I told them there was no need to set the clocks forward or backward here in Indiana.

Sounds like a hassle really...
