| I voted for XMMS. I use the version supplied with Debian stable(i.e. version 1.2.7). I also use mpg123 sometimes. If I want to play a Windows Media file I use MPlayer. |

| Winamp for Music PowerDVD for Video. Windows Media Player 6.2 for a single Audio or Videofile. It just loads faster than Winamp or PowerDVD, and I use Winamp mainly for listening in the background. except special Formats, from OGG to SPC and NSF and SID and what not. |

I've just installed Winamp 5.02 free version today and I must say, it works a heck of alot better than meridian advance did, when carefully selecting correct plugins Winamp works like a charm.  So maybe when I get the chance to play Stephen King's IT later, I'll remember to use Winamp instead.  |
