| I discovered the phenonomen of blog-spamming a long time ago on Rydain's blog. It seemed to be pretty rare but last week a friend got some spam comments in his blog. But today, sofie got 369 new comments on her blog, all comments posted in her (and my) blog is directed to her email. Now, that's 369 new emails with just crap. CRAP. I was about to bash their face into something if I could just see them. It's all from online-free-power-i, 7-poker-blashitassholeIhateyou.com, bullshit adresses like that. All seems to be from the same source. I tried to whois it but I dunno, seems to be a proxy registering thingie, no idea really. I just want to get them, if there is a way to. But I am really pissed. Spamming is NOT a way to get on customers good side. Why oh why can't stupid companies like that get it? Anyone else having/had trouble with this? |

| There are 409484509285092 ways so you know. Yes this does suck and it can happen and that is why you ban all those cites from having access into your blog. Otherwise I don't see a way to get around it. |

I don't know if there's a way of banning an email adress in wordpress but I could search on the email adress they used (always the same, lilo@suddenenlightenment.us) and delete all instances of it. I can't however ban the ip, because they use a helluva lot, here's a part of them;195.193.5.101 |

Some stupid fuckwit hit Meow Mix several times. Luckily for me, I don't have much posted there yet (I've been really lazy about trying to upgrade my archives to work with the newest version), and luckily for me, putting "poker" in the list of words that trigger WordPress to hold a comment for moderation caught all the garbage they've tried to post since then.  I am going to take more drastic measures, though. There's an anti-spam filter plugin that's supposed to work quite well. It's similar to a famous Movable Type plugin that runs off a frequently updated and accurate IP and keyword blacklist. |

| Yeah, I definitely have to fix the spam problem on Casa. I have e-mail notification on for comments so that I don't end up missing any, you know, important ones... but I *REALLY* don't like receiving 40 crap e-mails. I made some additions to the filter a while back that stopped it for a bit, but I need to make more...  EDIT: Just now I got *NAILED* with 37 frigging spams in a 5-minute span.
